HI I sent my file for my husband's sponsorship in May 2015 . just wanted to know what is AOR 1 and AOR2 and how do we get it ,i mean by email or by post?

Hi,
congratulations for filing the sponsorship. Atleast now you can start counting.
To answer your question, AOR1 is the 1st acknowledgement from CIC that they received your application. Then within 55 days (as per current #), you will receive SA (sponsorship approval). After SA, your file is sent to home country which I assume yours is NDVO (new delhi visa office). Once NVDO receives the application, you get AOR2.
Full form for AOR is acknowledgement of request (I am not 100% sure)

DOES ANYBODY HAVE ANY IDEA FROM ANY APPLICANTS AHEAD OF US THAT AROUND HOW MUCH IT IS TAKING FOR COMPLETE APPLICATION PACKAGE TILL GETTING VISA? AS I HAVE ASKED FROM A FEW THERE PROCESS TOOK 8 TO 9 MONTHS .

My file was received on May 20th, but till now I don't see any ECAS record of AOR1.

They don't update AOR1. 1st update you may get is application received n medical done.

You might not hear back till the SA decision is made and they have sent you the confirmation and the applications section is not activated until AOR2
