Hi Friends,

I am new to the forum. I have applied for my Daughter's {Minor}the sponsor. The application details are as follows:

Application Received : September 29. 2014
Sponsorship Approved: November 22, 2014
Status- "In Process" : February 18, 2015

Just want to know, is the processing period as mentioned in the cic.gc.ca is for every application or it can change as per the situation. As my daughter is minor, I don't think there will be any police verification for her.

Just a bit curious to know about it as we are already in Canada.

Yes you are right it doesn't take exactly that time some people got it in about 6-8 months some even 15-17 months as for your case I don't think it should take that long in your case unless they go to the extent of getting DNA which could take a bit of time make sure you give a lot of proofs

Yes I was told the same 6-8 months processing time for minor child by one of the consultant in Mississauga.

Regarding proofs, I have given the birth certificate issued in Dubai, UAE which have both parent name as well as approved by Consulate General of India and also approved by Ministry of Foreign Affairs of UAE. Do you think that will be sufficient not to ask for DNA.

Hi Guys ! I am new here, it's really useful forum to discuss a lot of things about visa applications and really supporting.

I am PR holder living in Canada, married last year in India. I have sent my application on January 22, 2015. Still not got any reply or AOR? In my application, I have put myself as still looking for job, because after returning here in January, I couldn't able to find any job. But just got a job, gonna start from next week. Do I need to sent my employment letter to Immigration Canada?

I am so much confused?....

I think so but you should still discuss with your consultant....maybe proofs like you have been supporting your child etc

Received my AOR today finally. SO how long it will take it to move it to Sponsorship Approval

Judging from the amount of people that post their time lines it might take about 4-5 months for sponsorship to be in process. CIC in New Delhi are still working on applications that been accepted on July and some are saying that they are still working on some 2013 applications. Hard to say exactly but I hope it takes 4-5 month and another couple of months for CIC to request passport from spouse.

Guys i got my SA and file transferred to Delhi. But UCI that i received in SA approval for my wife is same as mine. Is it normal ?? When i checked the status it shows still as Application received. Is that normal ??
