still pretty new to this forum. I'm not sure how my stats get added however I just applied for my spousal sponsorship for my husband I received confirmation from my lawyer that the file has been sent to cic today. So what next ??? When can I expect to hear back from them ??

You can add your timeline in profile settings after 10 posts. Next step is sponsorship approval (SA) or application received (AR) after that your file will be sent to New Delhi visa office and you will receive AOR which is acknowledge of receipt. Current time to receive SA/AR is 84 days they are currently working on December 2, 2014 files so you will have to wait for a while.

The current working date is 8th dec.My brother in law and my wife applied on same date , brother in law got sponsorship approval yesterday , while my wife still dint received any email regarding our case.

Any guess why delay in my file ? does it matter with the sponsored person gender ?

Gender does not matter....you should expect something this week then

If there is an Interview (I hope no goes through this), who do they interview both the sponsor and the applicant and how would this interview take place?

Does anyone know where NDVO is in terms of processing? I know it says 16 months on the website.

The applicant gets interviewed but sometimes they want to cross check so they interview both. If the sponsor is in canada then they call the sponsor not always depends on the the interviewer. The applicants of July 2014 are being who are not getting interviewed but unfortunately people of Nov 2013 are still waiting for interviews
