You should do case specific inquiry by email to New Delhi Canada embassy.
I did, but no reply.

Decision made for us today.

Application filed Dec 2nd 2014
1th upfront medical oct 2014
Sponsorship assessment done: Feb 24 2015
Case transfer : April 7 2015
2nd upfront medical June 2015
Remedical Request: Dec 7th 2015
Request to send medical again: Mar 7th 2015
Decision Made: March 25th 2015
Total time taken: 1 year, 4 months
lost 4-5 months because upfront medical instead of keep in file was scanned and trashed. When we did MP enquiry in Dec 2015 was informed no pending document. Again was requested to send the medical in March 2016.
NDVO is good at making people run in rounds because they are really good at it.

The process is frustrating because there is not much transparency. All MP enquiry is communication thrugh notes and there is no gaurantee that visa office in New Delhi will read the notes.

Congratulations on DM... Wishing you all the best in the future! Was you're criminality and security checks passed when they asked for the re-medical? do you know how long it took for criminality and security?
My file is currently in registry i don't know if that means that NDVO put it in cold storage or are they working on criminality/security?

Sure!
I have made all my efforts to get 2014 applicants a priority. But as you know it is very bureaucratic.
But still I fell that all 2014 applicants will be cleared.
Our last notes didnt have any update. It was still on registry.
My suggestion to remaining 2014 applicants, if you have any medical condition get a letter from doctor. Ask your MP to write a letter directly to New Delhi Office. Tell them you are living alone in Canada and need your wife's help. I gave my doctor letter to MP office on Wednesday. Got decision made today.
If you have done medical email medical reassessment dept and ask them if its complete and been sent to visa dept.
Our was on registry as they were waiting for our medical all the while MP office was telling us no document awaited from us.

I think something doesn't sound right in your case.
We will never know about the security as its confidential. Security is even exempted from notes while application in process.
If its not started you will know through notes that it has not started. If it has started you will see some blank sections in your notes and your email contents in notes looks something like this.

Certain information qualifies for exemption pursuant to section(s) 15(1) International affairs and defence of the Access to Information Act.

If your email to which your notes is attached contains above info in body it means that security has started. We will never know when it ended. My guess is should not be more than a month once started if you are residing in India only all your life. They might have sent medical but you might not have received it. But you will know this through notes. Fax, email, regular mail, case specific enquiry this week. Once you reach 17th month which is one week for you from now start putting pressure through MP office. If no interview usually some case worker might have misplaced your file because of which you are suffering.
Keep trying all the options. Something will work.

I was under the impression that the 17 month is counted from the time NDVO receives the application, which was February 2015 in my husband's case. My husband is an afghan citizen an currently resides in Afghanistan so I'm not sure if it makes any difference for afghan citizens.
I'm just wondering if it is normal for NDVO to put you're case on hold after eligibility is passed and until they receive the re-medical. This is what happened to my husband. He passed eligibility and in apparently in December NDVO had send the re-medical request which we never received. So, after contacting 3 separate Mps, sending case specific enquiries and ordering notes we finally received the re-medical in March. Now, his case is in registry and my MP is not helpful at all. She took down all of our information and she said she would call the specific MP hotline to find out where our case is. I have not heard from them yet and when I called she said that they have recently opened and they are still getting organized.
I feel really helpless at this point and not sure what to do. I have ordered another set of notes and will contact my MP again after the weekend.

If you are using any representative, remedical will be received by the representative.
Or it might be purly technical error or human error by case worker.
Do the remedical. get the confirmation from Medical Dept if they have received your remedical.
On confirmation follow up the MP dept.
I am not sure how security works for Afghstan citizen. but you can check with seniors there.
But if you have got remedical I think you are close to getting PPR.
Just follow up systematically.
According to new website processing time is 17 months from the time you applied.

Congratulations. Finally. Hope you will get your PPR and visa soon.

Have they started August 2014 interview recommended applicants for scheduling interview dates?? I'm 26 November 2014 interview recommended applicant waiting for Interview date. NO RED FLAG.
NDVO stuck after 31 July 2014 interview recommended applicants.
