I really dont know how NDVO works, When applicants from November December are waiting , they just put the files in hold and jump to give PPR for Applications received in January and February. If a file is in hold for interview is different issue, But the ppl who are waiting have their eligibility, Criminality, Security Passed and Interview Waived. Not sure what exactly they are waiting for???
I hear you very frustrating. Our file was all processed and approved on Oct 10th and it just sat there until now; until the MP had to contact them to ask what was the delay and vola next day we get the PPR. Seriously don't understand what their process is.

I know. They really need to have someone audit their system. Lol.
I thought I had done a MP inquiry last Friday but it appears that the person at the MP office handling my file doesn't know the procedures. So he's already called me twice asking for additional information to do the inquiry. (Keeping fingers crossed)

Can anyone tell me what exactly they're looking for when they check your eligibility, criminality and security? Eligibility and criminality I can guess, but what's the difference between criminality and security?

The following explanation is frm "PREETIV" one of the senior member of this grp....
VO working style (In short):

Eligibility-
Where they check the genuineness of marriage.
Medicals –
(a) physical examination;
(b) mental examination;
(c) review of past medical history;
(d) laboratory test;
(e) diagnostic test; and
(f) medical assessment of records respecting the applicant.

Security and Criminality –

Here is the link for back ground checks (Security and Criminality Check) given by cic

http://fas.org/asmp/campaigns/control/Canadianexemptionsfoia/FOIA_4_22_05/P5HX.pdf
Time duration differs from case to case for eg, no of countries lived in (more than 6 months),any crimes committed etc and these checks are done usually in groups

RFV Checks –

In RFV Check, they mainly look out for
i. Fees Receipt (RPRF)
ii. House Address

So once we pass all these checks our file will be in Final review Queue and we’ll get a status update as decision made.
I hope this helps

Cheers :)
