I finally got my notes. Here is the summary.

App Status Reason: In Progress: 2015/01/21
Eligibility: Recommended Passed: Recommended for Waiver: 2015/07/21
--> Under Eligibility Assessment: Status update date: 2015/07/21
--> Under Eligibility Assessment: Due Date: 2016/01/06 (what is this date for?)
Medical: Passed - Expired: 2015/09/13
Security: Not Started
Criminality: Not Started

Basically from the date Eligibility was Recommended Passed until this past Monday (2015/11/16 - i.e. for about 4 months) there was no update to our file other than marking medicals as expired. There is no re-medical request till date and notes doesn't mention anything about re-medical request. This past Monday they asked us for Travel History of the principal applicant and the spouse. They also asked for the FBI police clearance certificate even though we already submitted FBI letter (in Jan 2015) and it even says so in the GCMS notes (Incoming / Received docs section).

Now the wait starts all over again. Even though Eligibility check was finished/passed on 2015/07/21 there was no update for 4 months. Given that they asked for Travel History only now, does it mean they were processing Security/Criminality for 4 months or they are going to start processing Security/Criminality only now and nothing was done for the past 4 months?

That's correct, they were working on your security/criminality checks. Once the security/criminality is completed, then only you will receive Re-medical request. I would just do the medical on my own and send it off to them (it would be way faster than waiting for re-medical request and then wait for 1-3 months more to get PPR).

It doesnt matter where the applicant is currently is since the visa office is determined by the citizenship and the passport being held, so if the applicant is Indian its only processed in NDVO

Hi.. if you are a Canadian citizen then baby will inherit citizenship from you and you can apply passport for baby from local Canadian counslate.

Hi, yes you can apply visitor visa for baby.. but hopefully ur wife will get PR by then.. don't forget to update NDVO about baby. You have to fill dependent information form and send it to NVDO.

Jai Shri Ram nd congratulations for baby :)

I also had the same thought initially later I received a reply telling me that its better to do re-medicals when NDVO updates you about it.
Hence I did not do it separately. Seniors Please advise
