Hello everyone.

I am March 2015 applicant. I have few queries.
I am on a visit visa(multiple entry) in Canada, which is going to expire next month.
Since, there is no hope of hearing back from NDVO anytime sooner, I am planning to apply for visa extension.
So, below are my two queries and would be happy to get some advice.

- My medicals will expire in January 2016 (This was done upfront for PR application). So, do i need to re-do the medicals before I apply for an extension now.

- Since i would be staying for more than 6 months in Canada now, do i need to update my PR application with a PCC from Canada.

Ur sep applicant . as far interviews are concerned ,ndvo sent the latest to may 2014 applicant

oh okay thanks. i was guessing i would be Sep applicant. they have to get through 3 months of interview letters before it's my hubby's turn i guess.

I believe the last person to get an interview was a May 2014 applicant as prforme mentioned and you are a sept 2014 applicant since that was the time the file was submitted to Mississauga

thanks draxz. i thought so too. hoping to hear something soon. it's getting harder :(
i have a question, i applied through a lawyer. so would he get the interview date or my husband would get it in his email?

We got an email from NVDO asking for the following additional documents:
- FBI Clearance
- Travel History Info Form

The problem is we already provided them the original FBI clearance letter to NVDO (during Jan 2015) and we also got confirmation email from them (during Mar 2015).

And in the "Travel History Info Form" they are asking for the details of foreign travel of the principal applicant and spouse. Do we need to really fill the travel details of the spouse of the principal applicant i.e. the sponsor's travel history? Can I email them the travel history or should it be sent by postal mail?

We asked for notes about 4 weeks ago and haven't received them yet. Based on this additional docs request I am not sure which exact stage our file is in.

(Note: File went into in-process state on Aug-17 and this is the first communication after that i.e. 3 months after going to in-process).

I will not do medicals or get pcc unless asked by NDVO. I will wait to hear from them. Some instances medical validation extended by one year by visa office without notifying applicant. pcc is only required till the date of application and not for subsequent period.

HI can anyone tell me the procedure for declaring jewelry,
I won't be carrying my whole jewelry but in the coming trips back to India I will be taking in every trip , can we do that or during my first trip I can take whatever I want to.

You should take as much jewelry the FIRST TIME because you are immigrating as PR and can bring everything that you own. The subsequent trips you make don't count.
You can also declare "Goods to arrive later" form if you are shipping anything separately. I don't know how many months is the limit after you land as PR.

You don't have to do re-medical unless asked by NDVO.

Second, it is IMPORTANT to let NDVO know that your wife is in Canada and now has stayed more than 6 months. Then they will be asking for PCC from you (RCMP one).

I am sure senior members would agree with me.

If the lawyer was setup as the representative (Which I am sure it was) then they would receive all communications.
