Hi Everyone,

I just received my passport with the PR Visa stamped in it! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
It's been 1 year 3 weeks and 5 days but the process is finally over!!

I want to thank all of you for being such a supportive group of people, I stalked this forum for months before I became an active member and all the advice given by you'll has been extremely helpful.
Knowing that there were people who are going through the pain of being apart from their spouse just like me made the ordeal more tolerable.

I hope and pray that the rest of you get your visas soon and you can be with your spouse as soon as possible.

In the meanwhile, if you want to apply for a Tourist Visa, please check the thread I have started here:
http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/visitor-visa-grantedwife-of-pr-t273759.315.html

I applied with the documents given in the list and I was granted a multiple-entry TRV for one year. It's not a guarantee, but you can always try it out. A lot of people applied using the same documents and they seem to have got the TRV.
Before I applied, I was told that I won't get a TRV because the rejection rate is very high, but I DID get it and I was in Canada for 7 months on TRV.
I would say, if you have the money for it, go ahead and apply because if you get it, you'll get to be with your spouse sooner than you expected.

Thank you all once again, good luck and a very happy diwali! :D :D

Congrats tannygirl! Wish you a very happy married life ahead :)

Congrats and wish you a happy life ahead.
could you please clarify some question in order to understand the processing time.
1) was there any interview or everything went smooth?
2) why there was a delay in sponsor approval (in Mississauga). any additional documents?
3) any suggestion for how long it takes for PPR for straight forward cases after submitting application in Canada?

appreciate your help
