The quickest and easiest way is to get it through the passport services office. My wife got it in two days without the hassle of dealing with the police.

After doing some research, I found out that you can do a police ceritifcation online at http://www.delhipolice.nic.in
This is true? Or best to do it through Passport office. Is it possible to send someone else as a representative for my wife to the passport office? Would it be possible to ask them to send it to high commissioner of Canada instead of waiting for them to make the copy for you...then send it because we don't know how long it will take for them to give you the clearance

Pcc can be done thru passport off. Its as simple as pay d fee get appointment same day u get as officers are happy with ur docs. In case thy r not satisfied , thy will conduct police verification check in 7 days n give the pcc

Yes this is the website..did your wife study in New Delhi..because issuance of online PCC has been started by Delhi Police only.

You will need one picture of your wife and any one of her Indian residential proofs like driver's license..or electricity bill.. hope it helps

Damn. Looks like my wife will have to buy a ticket to the visa office to obtain a police clearance since she's in Afghanistan and she did her studies at the university of mysore not New Delhi. Online ceritifcation via New Delhi isn't a option any other suggestions?

Check websites of Indian Embassy/consulates in Afghanistan.

Or contact Indian Embassy/consulates in Afghanistan to find out whether Indian PCC can be obtained through them in Afghanistan itself.

go to Indian consulate in Afghanistan u can apply for pcc there

Hello - I used to check online status weekly but didn't for the 1st 2-3 weeks of August. Suddenly, checked and it showed "In Process" .
Got Re-Medical Request on August 26, 2015 and hoping that to be completed next week.

Please update my status in the tracking file.

Also, what do you guys think next steps would be? No Interview right since status is "In Process"?
