Hello guys my wife lives in the UK and got PPR request from NDVO. They mentioned that passport can be submitted to either to NDVO (via VFS Kathmandu) or Ottawa VO. She cannot travel to Nepal to submit her passport and is coming Canada next week. She will come to Canada as a visitor to submit her passport and complete all the processes.

Anyone has the similar experience?

Just trying to figure out if we need to prepare something for this.

NDVO is known to screw up locations on the PPR. some get asked to send it to islamabad etc. so, that;s nothing new. if you wife is in UK, and is abel to come to canada on visitor's visa. then that would be more ideal for her to come here submit the passport to Ottawa and pass through a nearby border agency to get it official. Other way is obviously for her to travel to india and submit it at a vfs office there.

applied for notes and it says marriage is genuine, and eligibility recommended passed. nly security crminality check pending.. how long does it take to finish these two stages. any idea seniors.

Thanks .. yes we are planning to do the same.

She will be submitting her passport there in Ottawa VO. For landing lets see. She has to return back to the UK on Sept. for her study and perform landing on December.

Applied December 22 from Canada, Got AOR1 and AOR 2 (April 8). Waiting for NDVO to touch the file. I guess 4-5 more month to go. But if u take a look at 2014 forums. The way NDVO process files are so Random. Few applied march are still waiting without any status updat and they still processing September now. Its really stupid looks like only 5 applications are processed each month. Loos like NDVO doing this to achieve their Quarterly targets. I see couple ppl applied in september got PPR stamped but fmany ppl in March - Aug are just sitting in AR/MR.

Brutally slow NDVO. Im wondering is it Indians or Canadians Working there.

Hello All,
Need a very important advise here. My wife has an issue with her residential address. She has Indian Passport. Is it important to add My name in the passport on Spouse name column, as we recently got married and I really dont want to get stuck with the government formalities.

I do have the court marriage and church certificate and other evidences that we got married. But while changing the name we may get stuck in some problem.

Please suggest what should I do in this case ???

Thank you guys for your wishes :-)

hello innosense, where were you when you received PPR?

My wife received PPR and is planning to come to Canada next week on TRV. We are planning to submit passport to CPC-O after she came here in Canada.

I am not sure how will immigration officer treat her (a visitor with PPR already issued), when she arrived in the customs.

Hi,

Yes I was here when I received PPR. I don't think your wife will have any issues. If she is questioned she can always say she has approval in her PR application and is here to submit passport. Ask her to bring copies of SA, PPR. Good luck !

If I understand this correctly you are asking two different things 1) her adding your name under the spouse column and 2) her changing her last name to include yours?

Both of these are not necessary for the application and is not required that being said, I am not sure it will make any difference to the officer seeing the commitment from the partner taking the spouses name or adding them to the passport - may be it might or might now.

My wife added my name as a spouse in the passport and it took her less than 10 days - apparently you cant just add the spouse name to the existing passport and a fresh passport was issued.

Here is something I found during my extensive research. Have shared it earlier with few folks through PM.

Those who have exceeded 15 months wait time and if NDVO is not replying, may be you can try escalating.
Also those in IP for several months and have already tried emailing NDVO and heard nothing, can give it a shot.

rhomank emailed them and she is done with the process in 2 weeks.
Also don't everyone start emailing in this id to the point that they will ignore ALL emails.

Below is an excerpt

Any update April applicants? Magicman, Hunny Singh, Payal9, Gavie.....anyone received the interview letter yet?

Don't know what is taking long just to schedule interview....... application is completing 14 months and with no news:(

Fiza......my timeline partner. How are you doing?

No, nothing on my end after 14 months completed now. Btw...people from March 27 are still waiting for interview letters so I think it going to be a while.

Fiza, what the MP told you......approx. August 2015 seems pretty accurate the way things are going. I just hope all gets done before December LOL

Quick question to all Nepali applicants or anyone who knows the answer!

When you send your passport for stamping, is it at New Delhi or in an office in Nepal? Thanks!

Hello partner :)

Trying to stay calm but the way things are going won't be too long before I get mad. How can it take 15 months just to schedule F***ing interview. Which world are we living?

Even Aug seems likes a dream the way they are working. Just hoping we get to hear something soon. Every bit of wait is driving me crazy now >:( >:( >:(
