Re: NEW DELHI - SPOUSE SPONSORSHIP

Hello Seniors,

I was hoping to get some serious help with my issue over here. I am Permanent resident of Canada. I just did court marriage in India and now I will put my spousal sponsorship file later on. According to the CIC requirement, we need to show them the marriage was done as per Indian tradition. Due to time constraints and some other reasons, would not be able to do traditional wedding as per Indian tradition. I did court marriage and I am planning to make a new passport of my spouse with my first and last name. I do have photos for our engagement and honeymoon but do not have traditional marriage photos. I was wondering what to do at this stage, Should those photos are necessary to put up my spouse file? or How can I prove that it was genuine marriage. I do have enough photos of our outings, hotels, honeymoons, etc. I will go next year for my reception so again do not have photos for my reception, too. I really don't know what to do at this stage. I need some seniors suggestions to go with the process.

Thank you very much for your time. God bless all.

Hi
Was yours arranged marriage ? Were parents present during the court marriage ?
Mine was also court marriage in Canada and parents were not present during the marriage as it was love marriage and different religion. But we have a long history of relationship development since college and we documented everything as much as it was possible and wrote detailed letters. I had many sleepless nights thinking I had the biggest red flags and was prepared to face interview. And thought even with interview these officers will not give us a chance.
Now I got in process and they gave very good comments in Gcms notes. And also they have made note of every thing.. The fact we are not compatible in religion but in all other aspects we r compatible. Comfortable in photos before and after marriage. Well arranged marriage. Both well educated. And detailed credible love affair and courtship. And satisfied of cohabitation. That is , how we have combined day to day affairs.

So try to address every aspect of your life. And gather extensive proof and submit all that you have.
We made table of contents which summarizes what proof is there in each section.

- add her as dependent in ur life and medical insurance.
- send her money to her bank accounts.
- give her add on credit or debit cards
- send her gifts flowers and save up all the receipts
- write few emails and save up the chat history starting from today till time of application
- get parents , in laws and friends to write supporting letters in their own words
- include lots of photos . We included around 200 pics. Of different occasions , trips and times. With different friends. Ask ur spouse to meet ur family cousins and take pics even if u r not there.
- emails, chat, what's app, Skype , Facebook
- phone bills
- wedding expense receipts
- email wishes , greeting cards received

Be genuine and explain everything as it is. Don't make up anything. Mention ur plans of future reception.
All the best !

Hello All,

I'm planning to apply for TRV for my wife. We are going to finish our first year together in July and are looking forward to spending it together. I see a lot of folks who are with their better halves on TRV. Could one you please forward details they included in their invitation letter or the invitation letter itself. Could either share it here or could email me on rishiraj60@gmail.com. I am planning to apply through VFS - Ahmedabad.

Would appreciate any help.

No. I am in India.
I believe it is a standard mail for the passport request.
My ecas status changed just a day prior to PCC expiry... so I pray that happens in your case too! I hope you don't have to do any re-medicals as well.
In a case if it happens otherwise, I believe there will be an option such that you could do the re-medicals in Canada. You could always confirm that by calling CPC...
All the very Best..
Cheers!

Thank you ....:)
