I am also hunting for answers about sending passport to India or if we could request NDVO to arrange for stamping at a local VO in Canada.
They should respond to our queries well within time limit or the only option is to go to India.

It is just a game of luck for visitor visa. I don't see how it can negatively impact the PR process.

Write a cover letter explaining purpose of visit and duration of stay.
These are some of the docs u can attach with ur application.

1. Marriage Certificate
2. Payment Receipt of PR Application
3. PR card of spouse
4. Employment Letter of spouse
5. Last 4 months pay stubs of spouse
6. Latest Notice of Assessment and Option C of spouse
7. Health Insurance for visitor or plans to acquire it
8. Proof of medical exam ( which was done for PR app )
9. Bank statement of spouse in India

You have to combine everything in one PDF and upload. Also need a digital photo.

Hi. Just wanted to let you know that according to indian laws it is illegal to send passport to India while you are in a different country. My husband was in Canada on Student permit and when my father in law applied for PR he had to come to India. There is no way you can courier passport to India.

Thanks maulikinjal. Thats what I thought too :-(

How long is the wait after DM for PPR? Any members of our have an idea?

I am beginning to lose my patience day by day. I am hoping someone will help me. Something is not right here. My spouse's case has been in IP since end of October. Ordered notes twice and everything has passed but nothing is mentioned for security. It appears that security has not even started as of January (as per notes). Why haven't they at least started the security? It should at least say "In Progress" next to status. No travel history.

I see other members have been waiting at least two months since IP. Have you ordered your notes? Does it mention anything next to security? It appears that the file is just sitting collecting dust. Very depressing!

All security information is removed from the notes. Notice "s.15(1)" label, top corner, on every page of the notes where security info is removed.
You could have passed security already, but you won't know until a decision is made.

Thank you, this makes a lot of sense. Any clue why it wouldn't be DM if security is passed? What else needs to be done besides security if all other things have passed?

Have your spouse passed eligibility and second medical? If yes, roughly, when?

Yes. Eligibility end of October. Case also went to IP same day. MEDs received by NDVO mid NOvember and PASSED.

This is great. I think now your application status should be Ready For Visa (RFV); do you see this any where on your notes?
You will get good news soon.

Hello Forum members,

Just to update my status here. My wife got an email yesterday from lawyer informing her that she's been called for an interview on 2nd March 2015. This was almost like out of the blue as only three weeks back we got our GCMS notes indicating that our file had not been touched.

Oh God !!! IP since 20 Nov and until now nothing .. how long it will take... waiting is killing me

Guys,
Kinldy update my information in the spreadsheet.

App Recieved: 30th June, 2014
File transfer to Delhi: 26th August, 2014.
Medical: Done before hand.
Fees: already paid before hand.
Status: AR.
We received an email from CIC last week asking for more of our wedding pics with rituals, reception pics & post wedding outdoor pics plus phone records. I already sent them the required documents asap. Anybody did have the same issue like us?? Also, what do you guys think about this information?? Is it a good sign that they finally opened our application??
Any information will be appreciated.
Lot of June applicanats almost received thier visa & for us its still AR.

Regards,
Chandan
