No updates this week either My wife is getting a bit tensed thinking whether PR will come with a short deadline now. Apparently in India you have to give 2 months notice at work or pay 2 months salary when leaving suddenly. Here in Canada, we can quit whenever we want. So now, if PR comes with short deadline we are looking at a big amount of money to be paid to her company. This NDVO loves to play with our lives....

What??? That's absurd!! You have to pay to leave the company? That's the first I have heard. Big companies have better policies in India. I lived there for 6 years. Anyways, ask her to have a talk with her boss and get it sorted out. Also, you guys needs the money more as she will be settling down here. Ask her to explain to whoever it concerns. Yes, you guys will be getting your PPR soon as most May applicants received their PPR and visa already. Good luck

Long time...

Yes it was normal for the two months pay thing; I have heard it from a couple of people but they are under a contact or a bond of some sort.

Hope she gets it soon..

yeah that's true,same policy for my hubby. but I told him to give notice now. rest of the time you will enjoy in india. so I think your wife also give notice now ,while time she will completed her two months,she will be here. good luck. dont think about money and all. rest of the life only we have to job job job...
