The reason is very simple buddy despite seeing the divorce certificate although it does confirm your divorce and they are also 100 % sure about divorce but VO want to see what were the reasons you mentioned eventually in the petition.
You know the visa officer who is handling your file acting over smart he thinks he is better then the court or judge.he just want to make sure whether there was physical voilence or any criminal activity was present in your divorce case

VO cheking divorce files also asked some other previous applicants "The petition"

Your reason for being angry is genuine...they should checl crime through PCC that's it

It seems like it could be a formality for VO to process file as they also have to follow rules and regulations.

But we can get duplicate copy of any document from court whether its Petition or Case summary

When I was in India...I got 2 copies of my divorce petition and certificate attested by Canadian Consulate.so my wife sent those with ADR. Hope it will work

I think they do work, because there are less than 10% of the total applicants that are on this forum. From the CIC data you can see that yearly there are about 6000 spousal applications in New Delhi out of which only 300-400 are active on this forum.

If you see the current year data, in 2014, till June there have been 3015 spousal applicants in New Delhi, out of this only 222 applicants are there on the spreadsheet till June 2014. As a rough idea if they give visa to 10 people, only 1 may be reflected here on the forum.

hello guys,
My wife is from Nepal & I am from India. we got married in April this year & I applied for her PR in June & her application was received on 30th June, 2014. Sponsorship was approved & I received an acknowledgement letter on 15th September. How long you think its gonna take to get a call for Passport. I had already paid all the fees upfront including her medical. The file is being processed in New Delhi office. When I had applied in 2011, I received my PR in less than 6 months but in this case it taking time.
Any information or anybody with the same scenario.

Regards,
Chandan

As per the present trend it takes an average of about 8 months to get your visa from the date you applied, if it is a straight forward case. Some of the early June applicants have started getting "In process". You should hear something mostly in January.

You only need to mention your home address for last 10 years. If you have moved to different city or country, address of that place as well.

Visiting Friends for 1-2 months doesn't matter
