Application received on 14th July at Mississauga office for Spousal Sponsorship
Here are my timeline :-

Application received :14th July 2014
Medical Upfront: 20th June 2014
AOR1 Sponsorship Approval email: 04th Sep 2014
AOR 2 in my email in India: 16th Sep 2014

Ecas status is : AR/MR

In AOR 2 they asked to submit PCC and RPRF fee which were already submitted with application in Mississauga. So sent scanned copy with AOR2 again to ND by email.

Hope for the best, i guess i still have 4-5 mths wait before anything comes up

Hi suratguyforu,

1. If you have a UCI from your previous interaction with CIC or have been issued one (if you have been approved as a sponsor), use that, otherwise leave it blank.

2. I would say put the date on which you had your marriage ceremony.
On your marriage certificate it should say the date on which your marriage ceremony was performed.
As your wedding photos will have all the details, and your wedding invitation that you send family & friends will have the date (which you have to include in your application package)
you should stick to that date and mention the date that you had a court marriage.

3. Don't fill and submit IMM0008Dep as that is only applicable if you and your wife are applying together for PR. if you are already in Canada and she is the only one immigrating, then she is the principal applicant and there are no dependants (if you have children, their details will have to be filled in IMM0008Dep)

There are no filled forms available since it's all confidential information.
The forms look daunting, I agree, but go with your instinct and just blindly follow the instructions they've given!

I paid an immigration consultant lots of money to help with my forms but in the end, I just did it myself. Just follow instructions to the T and you'll be fine.

Refer to your country specific guidelines and the Sponsor checklist and provide all the documents.

I even didn't put N/A on all the blanks because when you fill the forms on Adobe reader, when you tick "no" for any answer, it automatically darkens the blanks that you don't need to fill.

Thank you very much tannygirl for detailed reply..much appreciated!! now while i was reading your answers, i was also talking to my wife in india. and we discovered a big problem for which we don't see/know any solution and worried ( you and any other person who knows this situation or anyone with this situation, your feedback and help is much much needed please.

I came to India on 29th sept and we had engagement and ring ceremony on 3rd .. now to get the court mrg certificate, we have to wait for a month or something, but because of time limits and i had to come back soon, we looked for another way. we found out that if we do marriage in arya samaj and get their certificate, we can register it in court rightaway. so after all the guests left n stuff, we did aryasamaj mrg and court marriage registration on same day which is 10th. Now my ceremony date and all photos are from 3rd, but our court marriage certificate it mentions arya samaj location and date which is 10th. n certificate itself is for 10th. I had no idea about all this when i came, otherwise i would have mentioned them about ceremony wala date and location. also everything was to be done on that same day, i completely forgot about clicking any pics. my sisterin law and my inlaws were present there and my inlaws signed as witnesses. so now we have this confusion as to what to mention in mrg date and how to deal with situation as mrg certificate mentions about aryasamaj location n date. really really confused and dont know how to deal with this.

I really respect everybody's help here..n would be happy to get views, but i request if someone personally knows this situation or been thru this, just specify it please. Thank you very much. and looking forward to prepare file asap and join you guys spreadsheet.

Mention engagement and ring ceremony as on 3rd Oct. Send a detailed letter to the NDVO stating that you had rituals in your marriage infact you did it as per arya samaj wedding. Provide the letter from the Temple which stats that your marriage happened according to Hindu rituals and law on the 10th. Attached the marriage certificate along with a self declaration duly notarized and attested by the 1st class magistrate (SDM), its done with in a day indicating the date the marriage got registered with the registrar of marriage to avoid any further misconception by the VO.
