When I applied they said that there is not enough proof of marriage (I only attached marriage certificate) and other reasons. You should include some wedding pictures as guideline in your sponsorship application. The reason I'm saying because NDVO does not have your application and they need to be convinced that your marriage is genuine before they can approve TRV.
Include last year income tax return if you have one.
Proof that you applied for sponsorship. Eg: Receipt of courier
Last year income tax return of your husband
Last 3 months of your husbands and your payslips.
Good luck!

Thank you so much Flying2sky That's great advice!!
I'll add the pictures!
I've included my ITR for last 4 years and husband's ITR of this year.
Pay slips from last one month (he just got employed but is earning a good salary) Job offer letter stating the salary is attached.
My invoices from last 6 months too.

We should be hearing from CIC with the UCI number soon,
Should I just wait a few days till we get the email and quote that number in my TRV application?

Thanks again for the great advice and I'm sorry your TRV got rejected.. :(
Good luck to you when you try again, I'm sending positive energy and immense gratitude your way for your help and kindness! Stay strong! :-*

Did you get PPR request?? if yes then it should say that use VFS to transmit your PP.
Just go to nearest VFS office and submit your PP along with documents as requested.
if you live close to one of the VFS office (I mean same city) then opt for self pick up and you can pick it up yourself when its ready that saves time as courier might take 1-2 days to come to you :)

Hi Everyone,

I want to get a TRV to visit spouse in Canada for our first wedding anniversary, got all my documentation ready for tourist visa.
My spouse has not yet been approved as a sponsor-
sent application : October 9th 2014

I want to apply for a TRV to visit Canada in Dec 2014 for 5 weeks.

I've given plenty of ties to my home country-
-Upcoming work (as I am freelancer) and
-notarized letters from husband, affidavit from my father and me declaring the surety of my return
-Both my husband and I have written detailed cover letters as well declaring that I have applied to immigrate to canada but only want to visit for 5 weeks for our first wedding anniversary.
-He has bought visitor medical insurance for the duration of my trip and
-confirmed return flight tickets.

All other documents that they've asked for, ITR, medical, bank records- his and mine, Marriage Certificate, invitation from mother-in-law.

Is there anything else I can do? Application not sent yet!
Any advice on what I can put to make the case stronger?

Congratulations to all those who got their visas!! You and your spouse have been strong and patient and now it's paid off! Wish you a very happy married life! :)

I think that's all you can give them.. more simpler the application more chances you will get it approved so hope for the best :)
