Looks like a trend is forming...No IPs anymore? Just AR-->DM or AR-->to PPR! Its nice to see the jump, but more transparency would be nice - its a nice feeling to know application has entered In Process.

Hello, are you talking about the passport size photos? Do we need to stamp the date and place on them?

Yup...for the passport photos...They had asked me that...if you have already got aor then I guess you don't need to submit it because I was asked before AOR.

hi shreya, r u talking abt the passport size pics sent after PPR? i had submitted my passport via VFS, i think they asked me to write my name...dont remember if they asked to write the date

Just give what they ask for then and you should be fine! You've received your aor so It's ok....I had to get my passport photos stamped by my photographer with place and date..he knew what to do so I guess it is a common thing.

Hi,

Seven days ago, I got an email from New Delhi Visa office requesting my Passport. The deadline for submitting the passport is 30 days.

My issue is I am in USA right now, and need to be in US (for next two years), due to study purpose. I cannot send New Delhi Visa Office my passport till the end of December, as i need it for my admission in a US University.

Can i request New Delhi office for passport submission in January (2015)?

Has anyone done this before or faced similar situation wherein they postponed submitting their passport?

Has Visa office allowed this before?

Also, shall i get my case transferred to US, as i am going to be here for next 2 years? Please advice

Your advices will be highly appreciated.

Thank you.

Bro you should send your passport to NDVO and I hope you will get it back within a month and then you can get done with your US application. Bcoz if you don't send your passport to NDVO then your application can be refused and you will have to go through this again.. trust me no one want to do that.. do you? Consider your priorities and consult a immigration lawyer bcoz no one here is expert and can only advise as to what you can do.. so don't mess it up..

I agree, Student Visa is in my opinion lower priority than Immigration - which is permanent. You can study in Canada at 1/3 cost for however long, being PR. But all these are your decision at the end of the day.

I think people can ask for extension of time period to submit the passport, and depending on the reasons, NDVO may allow for some time. For instance, if you have a work contract that will complete in a couple of months in a foriegn country, you can ask for that extension. That is as per their decision to extend or not, and you will be taking a risk. But, 2 years, I don't think they will be okay. And at this stage, after getting PPR from NDVO, transferring the file to US would be a risk too. If you had transferred your file as soon as you moved to US, or had indicated to them that you moved US, things would have helped.

Did you notify them when you moved to US? They specifically ask applicants to inform as soon as anything new happens.

Dear All... Got PPR today...A little confused about the form..

1. Do we need to update NDVO of any international travel undertaken after the application for PR was submitted and before passport is sent for stamping. They haven't explicitly asked for any such updates.

2. the PPR asks for passport details of both spouse and applicant. My husband had Indian passport when we had sent the application.. But recently he got his Canadian passport..
Which passport details should I add in the form... New/both?

Appreciate any suggestions or experiences..

Hello,
I am a Jan 29th Sponsorer for my wife's PR sponsorship. My wife's file got IP on Sept 18th. Since then no news from NVDO. We have been waiting for PPR since then.

Below is the scenario:

1. I got ecas updated somewhere in Aug 27th 2014- Medical results have been received.

2. IP- Sept 18th 2014.

3. I contacted local MP where they conveyed all the time line (Application received, Sponsorship approved date and In process date after contacting with CIC). Also they mentioned that the medical results have been received and valid until Aug 2015.

4. My wife did her medicals done on Oct 26th 2013.

Appreciate any suggestions....

Thanks

Medical reports are valid for more than a year, but according to NDVO, they ask for medical to be done again after a year.
I would suggest you to enquire from NDVO.
Don't rely on ecas fully, recently ecas isn't updating, even though candidates got ppr.

Hi Guys

I sponsored my wife In April and the file was transferred to Delhi office in May. Our status still shows as "Application received". Please add this to the excel spreadsheet.

I guess we should just hang on for another few weeks before doing any kind of inquiry? any suggestions.

Much Thanks. Cheers and best wishes to all :)
