Welcome to all to this thread, if you guys get a moment share your timeline in the excel url is in the bottom..

Well Geet88, if they have feelings they will be disqualified from working in NDVO!! unfortunately that is the job requirment for those guys....

many times the reason given to reject visitor visa is "potential immigrat". Even after your PR application is in process - they still do that.......see the irony..

Hey don't worry... even I waited for for like 3 months for the approval... I called them too after 2 months saying whats going on and m'i missing anything lol... so she said its in review and you will get acknowledgement letter once its been approved.. I told her that it is taking more than normal time and she said every application is different but that doesn't mean we r not looking into it so relax lol... and she said just check your status online and that's what I use to check but I then I got letter from them after 2 weeks.. so don't worry and check your emails regularly you will be surprised by them one day :)
Thanks for the info man

Seriously why the hell they reject the tourist visa . Even my visa got rejected too

hey geet

they reject tourist visas as the applicant is a potential immigrant...
that is just a technicality.. but sadly its also true...
PARENTS AND GRANDPARENTS HAVE SOMETHING CALLED A SUPERVISA ALLOWING THEM TO STAY IN CANADA FOR TWO YEARS AT A STRETCH.. BUT SADLY SPOUSES DO NOT HAVE THAT....
so we are stuck.. although some do get their tourist visas...

ps.. its taking 8-9 months in total, from the date the application was filed in canada... (CHC MISSISSAUGA)

also.. big welcome to all the new members..

cheers,
SAMMY

Hey sammy. Thanks a lot .. I wish it could be lesser than 8 months.

TO EVERYONE...

STEP-1 (ASSESSMENT OF SPONSOR)----- DONE BY CHC MISSISSAUGA

STEP-2 (ASSESSMENT OF PERSON BEING SPONSORED )---- DONE BY NDVO

BOTH STEPS ARE EXCLUSIVE.... AND NOT ADDITIVE...

SO DONT WORRY IF YOUR STEP-1 IS LATE... IT WONT AFFECT THE TOTAL TIME REQUIRED... WHICH IS 8-9 MONTHS CURENTLY...
IMPORTANT THING IS TO GET THE SPONSORSHIP APPROVAL.. BE IT IN TWO MONTHS OR IN FOUR..

CHEERS,

SAMMY

its a generic mail.. they send it out to everyone...

you dont need to do anything more...

Hey buddy. Umm how long has your wife been in Mumbai? ? I guess it matters if its more than 6 months.

I studied college in karnataka and live in kerala. So i gave both PCC. Does that help you ?

no it does not matter where you wife is living currently,
as long as you change her mailing address in record with your applicaton....

after the application you donot need to submit a new pcc..

if your wife is still able to receive letters at the address in record with new delhi you may not need to change that as well...

the mailing address is required because they send your passport there... rest of the communications are via e-mail...

hope i helped

I didnt know there are state specific PCC's. How do you obtain these ? Do u apply at the local police station of each state ?
I thought if you apply at the Passport office, you get one common PCC which is for India.
Guys if CIC does not ask for it, do not complicate the process yourselves.

Anyone else any views ?

So NDVO is working on pending application of 2013. Many of them getting their DM. No wonder why we are having a break. It's so wonderful to see them getting their decision after a long long waiting :)

Hi April999,
There is no ppr for me yet.. ::) Still Waiting and little confused whether NDVO will communicate on PPR via email or mail ? What's your status on PPR ? keep posted on that..
Thanks
