NEW DELHI - 2014 APPLICANTS

Being a 2014 applicant myself, I will dare to break the 2014 IP bubble, there are still a lot of September-December 2013 applicants who have been in IP for over a month at least, some close to 2 months. It almost looks like a ploy to keep up with the processing time statistics. I wouldn't be too excited till a good portion of Jan 2014 applicants start getting DM, which in my personal opinion won't happen till the end of September 2014.

My timeline:

Jan 2014 - September mid - October mid
Feb 2014 -October mid - November mid
March 2014 - November mid - December mid
.....

you r quite correct.. the timeline seems to be around 9months-10months in total, at present.....
but it was around 1 year, about 2 months back,,, so NDVO has picked up the pace....
I also heard(though cant verify it)... that there are lesser number of applicants in the 1st quarter of 2014, compared to the previous years...

so i wont be surprised if the total timeline comes down to 8-9 months very soon.... usually it's 6 months.. always has been... so it seems NDVO is trying to go back to their original processing times(2012 and before).

CIC has passed a law called FFR (FASTER FAMILY REUNIFICATION)... It was initially targeted at parents and grandparents...... but also includes spouse and children under it's scope...

One of my friend(not in this forum) application field 30th Dec 2013 got IP on 8th August.His wife got a call today from NDVO followed by email asking for passport.I think ecas will also change to DM today

Timeline
Application: 12th Feb 2014
DM for sponsor : 18th March
Medicals received status was updated sometime in end of april..
After that no update from cic..
Checking CIC status 4 times a day..

More pessimistic 2 cents? Haven't you noticed that almost all of December has received DMs as well? Even if it takes till end of Sep, what's wrong in being jubilant?

I got my SA yesterday and Ecas still shows application received. After SA approval how long will Ecas will take to update?

hello, my wife have paid 550 CAD fee on 2nd june 2014.... it has been 2 and half month.... i want to know how can i check ecase status... i have only receipt number which start from letter R.. its 10 digit number... i wuld like to check my status whatever it is...

plz reply me friends and very congrats who getting in i.p. and d.m...... and shiny visassssss.....

i am totally new... i dont know the site or anything if anyone can help me.....

type in your sponsorer details and it will show you the current status.

--On this page under the Identification Type pick the type you have number for , it could be Client ID, or Receipt Number, File Number etc., but in your case you have Receipt Number so that would be the one
--Fill in the blanks for three options and pick your Country on fourth & "“Voila!”

Because with CIC, setting lower expectations will give you less pain down the road, setting great expectations with them will lead to great disappointment as the file takes longer than "expected" processing times.
