Hi Clyl ,

Yes you have to submit with notarize all photocopies as it mentioned in required dox details. We also done the same. Each photocopie of marriage certificate, passport all pages, educational certificates. . Like this.

Hi everyone, any idea on approximately how many months does NDVO keep your passport after PPR?

I think we do not need to notarize the photocopies. This is what INDIA_3904 guide says
If your documents are not in English or French, send a notarized (certified) translation with a copy of the originals.

Please correct me if I am wrong.

in 2012 : they asked PPR at the last stage so kept it for like 1-2 months (i have a fren having 2012 case)
in 2013 : PPR was at a very early stage (within 1-2 months) so they have kept it for the whole period of like minimum 6-7 months (the cases have been delayed due to strike)
Not sure wat they have in mind for 2014 cases. If you are in abroad, just don't only consider the PPR duration , also do give a thought to what if interview is there? Wud you coming twice to India as interview and then actual stamping may have a gap of 2 months or more....

Ok . My issue is I am in USA on student visa and it will expire in August 2015.My husband is Canadian citizen and lives in Canada. We will be filing my application in Aug 2014 so considering which VO to choose.
NDVO, if it request for passport right away in couple of months then i will have to leave everything and move back to India. I can still choose VO as Ottawa as the website says VO to select in country of nationality or where you have been legally admitted for at least one year so i am confused what to do.Any suggestions?

Innosense you are right you need not notarize until unless its a different language as 3904 guidelines.
i have submitted without notarization of docs. as they all were in English !!!

Hi Guys,

Don't worry so much. By god's grace the 2013 applications are processing very well and they are catching up to 2014 applications quickly. God willing Jan applications can expect end of August for In Process, and Feb Applications in end of Sept. Stay positive. It's been difficult for all of us staying apart but God will hear our prayers.
