Hi All,
I have a question for which I don't seem to find a good answer else where.
As per my understanding, the upfront medical results are valid only for a period of 9 months.
Now the file processing time itself takes almost the same amount of time or longer. Hence, the probability of one's medical tests being outdated are very high.
Does the visa office consider the original tests for evaluation? If not, How should one handle this situation. Wait for letter from visa office requesting to undergo another medical test? Won't that delay the process further?
Is there a provision to send a new set of medicals before they ask for a retest?

Please advise.

PS: Past experiences, suggestions from representatives/ advisers appreciated.

Thanks,
RM

medical results are valid for 1 year....likelihood of remedicals depends on how close you are to the end of process..if all the necessary background checks ad other things are done and say, your medicals is expiring in 2 weeks, you may be given the option of flying out before medicals expire. On the other hand if your medicals expired two months and you are not closer to the process ending, you will be asked to do remedicals. Even with medicals expiring, visa officers have the authority to extend the expiry date if, say for example, 2 weeks past the expiry and background checking and other process are over by then...you have to wait for their letter (since it contains barcode and other information) in order to do remedicals....

Thanks, looks like there is no option than waiting for a letter for remeds.

@All: Any other experiences/ suggestions?

Why all 2013 people are decreasing moral of 2014 lol.
May be they start 2014 parallely by August you never know.

How I wish this happens Rash, but where is the PPR man....!!

Ideally they should, rather making everyone wait for long time..

I think it (PPR) should start latest by Aug. Lets see, you can never predict NDVO, it has its own vicious circle. :)

I think the change is for good.. at least one can travel abroad for work/vacations etc. rather than early passport requests and retaining them forever causing more anxiety and restricting travels.

An october 15th applicant has got an IP status!!!! Woo Hoo!!! :P 8)

It seems processing has sped up from before!! Passport requests should be here in no time!!

have u ever check ur ecas status(client application status)..check it they update decision made on ur sponsorship approval...
AOR and UCI both are different things.
AOR is ur acknowledgement of receipt. ..and UCI is ur unique client identification no..
as d help of both things u can check ur status..

my husband showed up to ndvo and they told him they are only accepting passports at the very end now. this is how most counties function anyways. don't worry its nothing to do with the overall processing times

Any 2014 applicant applied for gcms notes yet?????

I don't think anyone has. I was thinking to do, but my lawyer asked me to wait till Aug.

Hello Everyone!

I got married in February, 2014 and my husband is a PR residing in Canada. He applied for spousal sponsorship on April 10th, 2014. However, he has not received any file number yet! :o

I really need all your help with this... Does it take this long after applying to receive the file number? Or is there something that's going wrong in our case??

Will the call center people be able to help us out with this inquiry??
