Need HELP!! My wife is afghanistan and they request her passport. But Fedex and other mail services don't allow passport to be send over the border. Is it possible that she go to pakistan and Personally bring her passport to the CANADIAN HIGH COMMISSION in Islamabad and Request them that she was not able to send it and had to come to pakistan to give them passport.

And does someone know if they would process in few days and so that she can go back to Afghanistan.

once NDVO takes the passport, they stamp it within a few days and mail it back.. as for CHC islamabad,, i think u should call them and ask what their policy is.. be clear about ur problem.. also call NDVO and ask them too..

Hello Guys,

I need an argent help.
I am july applicant.
But I am planning to get TRV.
I have applied in last week & I recived PPR for TRV today.
I went to submit my passport to VFS and realised that my passport lamination is partially peeled off.
VSF said it might be problem & they didnt take my passport.
Can you suggests me any workaround?

Well if they are not taking you PP then you have to urgently apply for Tatkal passport so that you can get it within a week and then submit your new passport along with the old one to VFS... remember you have to submit both old and new passport. don't waste time and get your passport asap.

one question guys....is it necessary to land on toronto airport only for immigration formalities ?? I will be going to Alberta ..

When you take flight from India to Canada you wont get direct flight and wherever you land first here in Canada you will have to do your immigration formalities.. it is preferred to land at Toronto Airport so that you can complete your immigration formalities smoothly... and remember to have enough time for connecting flights as sometimes it takes time to complete the whole process.

Here is my last OMG moment...received passport wid NOT SO SHINY VISA..
seriously this ugly piece of paper apart us for 2 precious years of my married life...

SO HERE IS MY 14 MONTHS JOURNEY-
WE applied in 26 august 2013 [after dat recieved SA and PPR after one month]-
when we received PPR at dat time we are so happy,we think dat we sure got my visa within 3 months.at dat time i m pregnant and after dat started planning for delivery in canada.
BUT.........we dont know dat they chnged d process...so after wait for few months our dreams shattered.

In Jan give Birth to a baby boy-In feb applied his canadian citizenship certicate.on june we received it and after dat apply his passport..and on july we receieved it.. [SO HIS WHOLE PROCESS COMPLETE WITHIN 6 MONTHS BCOZ HE IS CANADIAN NOT LIKE US INDIAN]
After dat in july received remedical req..on august they send PP size pics req but missed due to our lawyers careless behavior..we received it after 1 and half month [SO THIS DELAY WASTED MY 3 MONTHS]
ON 3rd NOV MONDAY recieved phone call from delhi embassy to confirm DOB and address
on 6th NOV THUSDAY ecas changed my address [first it was my lawyers address]
on 8th NOV SATURDAY status chnged to DM [after 5 days to phn call]
On 10th NOV MONDAY recieved NOT SO SHINY VISA..
sooo after 2 years of relationship
20 months after marriege
14 months n 15 days since we applied
3 GCMS notes,,3 MP enquiry,,lots of emails
[NOTE: EVERY TIME WE DONE MP ENQUIRY WE HEAR GUD NEWS,,1st IN JUNE AFTER 10 DAYS REMEDICAL REQ,,2nd IN JULY AFTER 1 WEEK RECEIVED PHOTOS REQ,,3rd NOW IN OCT LAST AND RECEIVED AFTER ONE WEEK PHONE CALL]SO DONT THINK SO ITS A COINSIDENCE...

Cant explain how i feel rightnow...THANK U ALLLLL MY BUDDIES...i dont know you guys but how everyone pray for me its beyond words..

my wife collected her passport stamped with visa along with her COPR from VFS kolkata earlier today.. its been a smooth ride for me and my wife..

And what happens if they both expire while our application is still on AR / MR status?

Hey guys i wanted to make sure of something here, when i re-submitted an updated form IMM 1344 I wrote a note with it stating my file number, my name and date of birth, but unfortunately I forgot to attach the email letter from CIC of the request, will they be able to find my file and consider the updated forms with my original application?

I used this mailing address as stated in my email from CIC, is this the right one? Has anyone used this mailing address to submit requested forms?
