Welcome to the forum,
1) Use to T4 and existing paystubs, by the way there is table showing how much minimum salary you should have to sponsor a person. So try getting job soon. Paystub, T4 and Tax receipt print-c form does the job for your banking information. Thus you don't to show bank balance.
2) IELTS is required if she is coming as student. As sponsor NO need to.
3) Yes get the appointment for physician and get medical done asap. Also apply for police clearance certificate asap. Both things need to attach in sponsorship file.

Suggestion: Please go through sponsorship guide before applying, if you miss any document, each missing document will delay your file from being processed. Average time for file processing takes 6-8 month. Missing document is one bad reason for further delays.
Best of luck, Hope you guys join soon.

thank you very much for information Antemeridiem.

I would like to know if she needs to change her name on passport as we got married before i apply for her PR or can we go ahead with the name she has and do it later once she's here?

Thanks

Hello,

I am new to this forum and while researching on internet about spousal sponsorship, i found this very useful. I have few questions about sponsoring my wife.

I am canadian PR which i got in July 2014. I met my wife on shaadi.com in july '14 itself and we talked for 2 months and i went to India in oct 14 to get engaged and do court marriage so that i can apply for her Pr. she is in delhi rightnow and i got back to canada yesterday and want her pr application to be processed asap.

I have these few queries for now

1) my employer din't give me leaves for my trip so i choose to resign and go to India as it was my priority. so i don't have job at the moment. is it requirement to have a job to apply for her PR for qualifying as sponsor? should i wait for paystubs for new job or i can use my last employer pay stubs which was until end of oct. how much bank balance should i have approx if in case i have to send my bank statement with file?

2) Is IELTS a requirement for her if i m applying for her PR?

3) Can she go to panel physician rightaway and get the medical done before hand so that i can put that form in file?

these are the core questions for now. also i would appreciate any other relevant information that is required at initial stage but i don't have idea about and info about any other way like visitor/dependent visa after applying for pr so that she can come quicker.

Thank you very much for all the support.

Hello,

1) There is no fix amount to be shown to sponsor a spouse. But you need to show how you would cover the expenses of yourself and your spouse. If you have job, it is easy. But as you don't have a job than you need to show how you plan to cover the expenses. Best way is to get a job and than apply for PR. You can show a bank balance sheet along with a new job letter offer, this would suffice for you to sponsor your spouse. You need to get a Option C form to show that you are not on social assistance.

2) IELTS not required.

3) For spousal visa, it is compulsory to have upfront medical examination. But make sure you get the medical examination as close as the date you plan to send in your application as the medical is valid for only 1 year. If processing gets delayed than you will have to get a re medical .

Apply for PCC at the passport office at the earliest, it takes around 20 days to come. Start collecting the details for the proof of relationship, like your communication details via skype, viber, whatsapp, etc.

Your wife can apply for the visitor visa, but there as less chance of it getting cleared. But there is no harm in applying though. Some people have got the visitor visa.

This is all what I have learned through this forum, Seniors may add additional info.

All the best. By the way mine is a similar case as yours, quick marriage an all. :)

hey thanks.....

you dont need a UK transit visa if you have a valid US or Canadian visa.....

Guys, there is minimum requirement, mentioned in CIC & this website whose forum we are using.
http://www.canadavisa.com/necessary-income-levels-for-family-sponsorship.html
For more information read 18-19 th points of form IMM5491E.

sunnycool you have to show option-c of print 2013. Getting job either ways is better.
