NEW DELHI - 2014 APPLICANTS

Hi Guys,

I filed my Spousal Sponsorship application in the last week of June 2014 to Mississauga Visa office.

Mississauga office received my application on July 4th, 2014.

AOR was Received on Aug 25th, 2014 and decision was made on my Sponsorship Application.

Permanent Residence Application Status on ECAS shows (Application Received) and also Medical results have been received

Sep 8th I received request to pay right to permanent residence fee and also police clearance certificate.

I am coming to India in last week of December for a 4 week vacation, can i expect everything to be completed before i leave India in 3rd week of Jan 2015?

Going by this can any one guess when would i be seeing "In Process" status updated and Passport request?

Your help will be greatly appreciated.

u r asking a million dollar question buddy.. correction.. billion dollar question..

i got PPR and DM directly from AR MR.. some got IP and then went to DM within 1 week.. others waited 80 days.. some got PPR alog with DM.. some waited upto 30 days...

if ur case is traight forward expectd timeline is 6months to 8 months for the entire process...
no point guessing about IP DM..

if my husband goes to same day to the visa office same day he'll get visa approved? our agent gave us a cver letter to take along to the VO with his original passport and copy of passport and 2 pics.

u need to go to a VFS/VAC centre.. cant go to shantipath CHC.. they dont allow that anymore. typically ur visa stamped passport is ready for collection from the VFS within 2-3 weeks of submission. also u may opt for a bluedart courire service for 377 inr, where they wil deliver the passport at ur doorstep.

Hi Everyone,

Just needed some advise. We received SA on Oct 30, 2014 and file is transferred to New delhi.We just did court marriage in USA in absence of my family but our religious marriage is in Jan 2015 in India. We did send email conversations between our families. We wanted to send some documents (photos of our Sep trip to India where we were together with my family , Jan invitation cards etc) just to strengthen our case . Should we wait for NDVO to request documents or we can simply mail documents referencing the file number?
Has anyone mailed any documents without being requested? Please advise.

u can always mail more ducuments...

write a cover letter.
mention UCI and file number on top...
arrange documents in an oganised fashion and mail to new delhi..
prefer registered mail(india post is good)


at the same time send an e-mail to NDVO

e-mail subject : "applicant's UCI(not sponsor's)/documents/urgent"

write to them that u are sending further documents via mail and ask for a confirmation email when thay recieve the documents.
the confirmation email might take time or they might never reply back at all. does not matter eitherway.

Thank a lot S_bag. I like your dedication to the forums cause.

But this is what I know for sure that Canada is not the signatory to the Hague Convention hence authentication of documents is not needed for official purposes.

I still can't post links but if you search for Canada, Hague Convention and Authentication you will read it all. I don't think that Marriage Certificate needs to go to Ministry of External Affairs if you are using it for Canada.


I think there are other forum members, who would agree to this.

Please tell me " How did you send your marriage certificate / Birth Certificate and 10th school certificate ? Were they notarized or just plain copy? "

i am not sure what others did buddy.
the MEA stamp was easy to obtain
i payed no bribes.
total cost was inr-1000
and took a total time of 2 weeks.

no other document needs to be notarised.
if u have already submitted the MC without authorisation do not think about it too much..
but i would suggest getting it authorised if u have not submitted ur app already.

there were two other gentlemen with me who also got their MEA authorisation.
they were also applying for canadian PR.

it may not be necessary. but if u get it authorised, then it is full proof.

this MEA authorisation means there has been a background check on the genuinity of ur marriage and bears more weight and the people at NDVO know that.
the authorisation is given only after a police clearance and a phone call with ur presiding marriage officer from the office to the marriage registrar general.

entire process takes less than 20 days.

I am april 28th applicant , went to IP on Oct 24th , No PPR yet usually how long it would take ? what usually they check when goes "IN PROCESS" ?

Anybody struck at IP on Applied on April month ?

they go for what is called the final assessment after u go into IP.
if u r in IP, it means ur marriage has been deemed genuine and medicals have been accepted as valid (99% done)

now they will check ur PCC and ur travel history. the more u have traveled outside india, the more time it takes.
but dont worry. u r nearly done...

I have a concern to bring forward and would appreciate any feedback.

I applied for my spouse on Sept. 2nd 2014 and DID NOT send in the medicals at that time.

On Oct 14th, 2014 I got approved for sponsorship requesting the medical be sent along with the letter which had my UCI number.

My spouse did his medicals on Oct 20th, 2014 through e-medical and we send in the information sheet.

On Oct 29th, 2014 we received a letter from Delhi immigration saying that we have received your application.

My question-would sending the medicals later delay my application or is it everything ok? My status on Ecas is application received. Please advise.

he is going to ahemdabad. so does he need to pay extra or fill any application forms? or just he need to take the orginal and copy passport and pics and the letter and pay the courier service fee and hes set? how long will it take to return back once he submit it?
