Yes you will receive an email from NDVO once your file gets transfered over there and ECAS will show "application received". And "in process" after few months once they start working on your application. In case, they need some additional documents in support of your file they will inform you...

l Hello, VFS will give u an option wether you want to collect ur passport personally or you want to get it delivered at ur doorstep. If u choose to get it delivered to your home, then ur wife should be personally present to take the delivery as they will hand over the passport to the concerned...
