Hi all,
Plz answer to my question. I wnt to knw wht is da difference between sponsorship application status and permanent residence application status??? Ven i login to check my application status it shows decision made for sponsorship application status and application received for permanent residence application status. Cn u plz let me knw da difference among da two.

Sponsorship is for You and 'Decision Made' means you can either sponsor your spouse or you can not based on what they said. Permanent Residence Application is for your spouse. Permanent Residence Application received means, they (NDVO) received application for your spouse that you've sent. Once its done, it will be 'Decision Made' and based on that - either your spouse will get Canadian PR or the other way.

Cheers

Good to see so much enthusiasm here. Also the knowledge being shared is great. Please add my info to the Spreadsheet

Medical Done 10-25-2013
Application Sent to CIC 05-12-2013
Application Received at CIC 13-12-2013
Date of AOR Received 13-12-2013
Date of Sponsorship Approved 05-01-2014
Date of File Transferred to New Delhi 15-01-2014

I am a Canadian Citizen and have sponsored my wife. When I had submitted the application, I was still a PR. I have also submitted my Citizenship certificate. We even received an email requesting some additional documents on Jan 28, 2014. We sent those documents on Feb 2, 2014. However, we never received any acknowledgement for any additional documents that were sent to NDOV by my wife or myself. We have always used the physical mail rather than sending a soft copy, as we were advised by someone that the NDOV wouldn't response to emails. We have not seen any updates either online or through email or a physical letter. Please advise us if we should still be expecting any reply or just the PPR?
