No it not at all suggested. if you really want to travel, you can but for couple of weeks not more than that. sponsor should be in canada during the spousal visa is under process.

I might be wrong, but I was informed that if the sponsor is a citizen then he or she may travel to India to visit their spouse and can return together if the sponsored person visa is issued and expiry date on sponsor's tourist visa is still valid.

Would it cause any problems for me (sponsor) visit my spouse in india for two months? Now I am worried by your statement
