Btw your interview will be most likely in August and you will receive interview letter in July.

Right now Oct applicants are getting interview letters for June.

Minister cannot schedule your interview. I have not followed your earlier posts. Have you applied for a TRV?
If you haven't, then you should try that first.

Hi Everyone,

my husband's interview is next week. if you guys can suggest any tips those who have been through it that'll be really helpful.
few minor things i wanted to ask:

do they let you take your phone inside?
if sponsor is not present, what kind of common questions can they ask?
typically what's the avg time it takes for the interview to be over?
do they give back all the proofs?
do they usually take the passport there? (along with medical and pcc)

any help is appreciated thank you!!!!

1) Your phones are not allowed inside, I left mine in the car.
2) If the sponsor is not present, they will most likely just ask you questions about them and their family and their work and salary etc to see if it seems genuine, if any doubt they may call your spouse on the spot to confirm or cross question.
3) I believe interviews can last upto 1.5 hours if needed max. However I have heard interviews can last 30 mins to 45 mins on avg.
4) Till now I do not think there has been a case where they accepted their passports on the spot unless somebody can correct me. However, 95% of times they will accept your medicals and pccs on the spot. Make sure to get your remeds and pcc done you will save minimum a months time by doing this.
5) They will give you back all your proof that you submitted with the application.
6) Be careful of what you say during interview as they write it down and can go against you, like if you make a comment or anything. So only talk positive and be firm.
7) They will most likely ask you " What will you do if we refuse your application?" your answer to that should be we will appeal! (This shows that you will go furthur to prove them wrong meaning your file is genuine)

ALL THE BEST FOR YOUR INTERVIEW!

I am not an expert but will try.
A-1:- They will never let you any device in, but yes they can ask you to bring during the Interview with Permission from Interviewer.
A-2:- They can ask any damn question from Starting of your relation to till date and not only that but they can confirm that from your Partner i.e. CROSS CHECK at any point of time before making decision.
A-3:- There is nothing like Average time, it will depend upon Interviewer's level of Satisfaction and your answers. ( Generally in range of 30min to 90min)
A-4:- Of Course they have to give back all originals to you except PCC or any other updated forms.
A-5:- They will never take passport there but they will ask for it later after making decision.

Hope this will help you, its not upto the mark but I shared what I came to know from this FORUM.

Thank you and all the very best.....
