Don't stress out. May be NDVO calculation is 17 months from the day NDVO received your file from Canada. If that is the case, you will complete 17 months (Sep, 2014 to Feb 2016) if I am not wrong. Which means your interview request will come before 17 months as per NDVO and you will get your PPR by March-April.
I think personality of the officer really matters and decide our fate. Human personality play lot of role and unfortunately immigration process totally depends on officer decision. Have positive hope. They cannot hold you more than 20 months at any cost. Think that you have more time to spend with close family members in India.
I knew couple of people second marriage (one person even sponsored, then cancelled, got second marriage) got visa between 13-14 months with no interview/additional documents request. Most of the cases have interview in forum are genuine, first marriage. May be they are selected for interview due to gaps in file.
