I sent case specific inquiry about 2 weeks ago stating our medical expired and to send remedical at earliest, but havent heard anything back yet. So for now waiting for further updates.

They will most likely not reply back to you since it hasn't been 16 months since your file is received by NDVO. So it was pointless to send the case specific inquiry.

On a brighter note! Since you are saying you are scheduled for interview. Best time to do re-medical is when they send you the interview letter (1 to 1.5 month before interview). Take the new e-medical letter with you to the interview and give it to the interview visa officer. Tada!

basically it means that they started doing all checks. When everything is done, then its Decision Made or PPR.

Heya, guys, does "In process" mean they have completed all background and security checks? Just curious.

From NDVO 2014 Spousal Sponsorship spreadsheet:


"Our files have to pass 4 different categories, namely the medical, security, criminality and eligibility.

I am sure most of the people are already aware about it. Medicals are checked first since the medical reports are being sent at the same time as the application. Then comes the eligibility, where they check the genuineness of a marriage. Once they are fully convinced, they pass the eligibility category as well after which our online status goes In Process.

So basically, the applications have passed only the medical and eligibility.

The files are now undergoing the security/criminality checks and the time duration for that depends on case to case for example, number of countries visited, any crimes committed blaah blaah..and these checks are done in a group. Several applications have been assigned in an group so all those applications follow each other at the same time. Some time they give these files to an agency who does the background checks. So once, we pass the security/criminality, application files will be forwarded to the final decision making officers and we'll get a status update as decision made (on e-cas) once they approve the files."


But now we see applications with expired medicals too get "IP". They might send re medicals request soon in such cases.

Hi,

I couriered Spouse sponsorship application on august 2nd
On August 5 th applied for temporary resident visa to see my spouse and i got visa.

Now the question is ...

For TRV they gave me UCI number, once my spouse sponsorship application reaches to visa office they will create one more UCI number right ??

do i need to inform my existing UCI number to visa office where my sponsorship application processing ?? or Spouse sponsorship UCI number will not effect to visitor visa UCI ??

Still waiting....Don't know how can they process files from dec without completing the backlog. 16 months since application received and till date no update. I don't have any more patience left.if nothing comes by end ofthis week, I might need to take a call on moving back to India.

I can understand..... Even mine is in process since jan 6 this is stupidity that they are not even touching back log
