When's the best time to apply for notes? Our application was received in march 2015 and transferred to NDVO in may.
Congrats to all the folks who got their visas.
Thanks guys!
Beaver21,

NDVO is now working on second half of Sep 2014 and the first half of October 2014 applications.

If you apply for Notes now, you will get it with everything "Not Started"

You can apply now if you need any information about Sponsorship and Sponsor (advised only if sponsorship is/was delayed)

So it's better you wait (4 or 5 months) till NDVO starts processing March 2015 applications.

Hello people,
Can anyone please advise on this. My wife's PCC was issued on April 25th and as per the CIC Guidelines it must not be older than 3 months. Although Indian PCC are Valid for 6 months. I will be applying for Spouse visa in the month of August 2015. :) :)
I think Indian PCC are valid up to 1 year

In our case, PCC was issued on June 06, 2014 and our application was received at CIC-M by the end of August 2014. But by mid of October 2014 we were asked to resubmit few forms as the forms we sent had been updated in between. So we sent those forms again and finally our application date ended up as 04 Nov 2014. ie. Our PCC is more than 3 months old as on 04 October 2014.

But we got SA without any ADR and yet to hear from NDVO as they have not started with Nov 2014 applications.

As far as the forum members posts are concerned, only very few are asked for New PCC.

You are advised to get a new/recent PCC if it's possible, only to avoid delay and difficulty later.

NEED ADVICE PLEASE,

Hi all:

I am seeking advice from senior members. I checked ecas status using my wife's information (such as UCI, Last name, Birth date, Country). It shows my address as current mailing address on her profile. I am residing in Toronto, Canada and my wife lives in India. so do I need to change the address from her side?? What should I do to change existing address to her actual India address? How long will it take to reflect the change on Ecas? Please reply.

my time line is as follow:

App. Filed: 22 April, 2015
SA Approval / File Transfer: 24 April, 2015
AOR 2 received from NDVO: 1 July, 2015

Thanks

Sashee,

Information from NDVO 2014 Spread Sheet: Our files must go through 4 phases in NDVO.

Phases: Medical, Eligibility, Security and Criminality.

Medicals are checked first since the medical reports are being sent at the same time as the application.

Then comes the eligibility, where they check the genuineness of a marriage. Once they are fully convinced, they pass the eligibility category as well after which our online status goes In Process. So basically, in In-Process ECAS status, the applications have passed only the medical and eligibility.

The files are now undergoing the security/criminality checks and the time duration for that depends on case to case for example, number of countries visited, any crimes committed blaah blaah..and these checks are done in a group. Several applications have been assigned in a group so all those applications follow each other at the same time.

Some time they give these files to an agency who does the background checks. So once, we pass the security/criminality, application files will be forwarded to the final decision-making officers and we'll get a status update as decision made (on e-cas) once they approve the files.

Re-medical request may happen in between if your medical expires before date of landing. Few are asked to submit new PCC too in between
Thanks for your valuable information blr..........and many congratulations to all those who received changes in their status............ Very happy to see lots if updation in the forum..... We were really tired of waiting....... But now things seems to be moving in a good pace well done NDVO........ And those who are still waiting..... Wish you good luck and keep your good hope my prayers are with you always....... Good luck to all

Principal Applicant (your wife) has to inform NDVO about Change in "Current home address" and "current mailing address" by:

(1) New Delhi Case Specific Enquiry link AND (2) Registred Post / Courier

By New Delhi Case Specific Enquiry link

https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/case-cas-eng.aspx?mission=new%20delhi

-Fill the particulars of the link

-Prepare a cover letter with the addresses (existing, New address - Mailing & home) and information like Type of Visa - Family Sponsorship (Spousal), File Number, Sponsors Name-UCI-DOB-Passport Number, Principal Applicant- Name- DOB-Client UCI-Passport Number-Email-Phone Number

- Paste the cover letter at the "Your Enquiry" field of the link

- Upload self-attested scanned copy of the address proof (preferably passport's Personal info page and info page, if the address on it and new address are same)

By Registred Post / Courier

Send signed hard copy of the above cover letter and address proof in an envelope to

High Commission of Canada
Immigration Section, P.O. Box 5209
New Delhi 110021, India

Write "Address Change - Family Sponsorship (Spousal)- File Number XXXXXXX" on the envelope

It may take up to two or three weeks to reflect the changes in Ecas. Some times more that

Its better to change and have principal applicant's current address in ECAS.

If NDVO decides to contact Principal applicant by Post with ADR/Re-medical Request/New PCC/PPR etc, Sponsor is going to receive the communication. You will have to forward it to the Principal applicant. Usually, NDVO asks for the copy of the communication you received from them when you respond. Its required for Re-medical too.

So to avoid those delays, have updated and current address in ECAS
