My two cents...
Nothing to alarm you guys but I dont understand why you would declare your self as single when you are married Islamically which is a recognized under the Special Marriage Act, 1954; we did a nikah then took the certificate issued by the Kazi and went to the local office and got the marriage certificate - no family no photos just sign. Yes it can be complicated since he was divorced but I am sure many couple in the same situation have gone though this..
First of all having a nikah then doing a court marriage wont be an issue since both are recognized and doing it months after isnt the problem at all; there is a question on the form asking for the religion of the couple which ties into how the marriage was performed and they know how muslim wedding are. Since you have to declare this they will look for a muslim wedding in terms of photos etc and I presume you have all these since you celebrate the nikah then you should definitely provide these because they show a stronger ties with the culture and family then a court marriage with no proof..

As there are many job openings in Canadian consulate Office in India, delhi and they are open to all (not necessarily PR holders or anything like that, anyone with the requirededucation and experience can apply).
Being a PR of canada, If i take up job here in India, Canadian consulate office, will it get counts towards my PR residency obligation or one should take up a job in canada and then shifted to India, only then it will get counted??
Like my main concern is that will it get counts towards it or no?
It has been few months that NDVO hasn't done much work. People from April last year got VISA before end of the year, and the way it going now it seems like it will be 4-5 months delay. Does anyone have information regarding the reason for the delay?sunny6359 said:Guys,
i heard from some one that one of the reason why NDVO is slow is because they were also asked to handle application from Nepal. Nepal immigration offices were closed due to earthquake. Even if this is true, Nepal offices were again opened this month. Hopefully this will help us all.

I think Nepal has no immigration office, NDVO is their imm. office always. May be just VFS is closed in Nepal.sunny6359 said:Guys,
