Hello bhuvan congratulations on your in process status. Like aqua_AB said hard to know when DM is made cuz of all the checks afterwards I have been in process since January 2015. So hopefully everything runs smoothly and as long as they don't fall asleep on your file you can expect answer soon in coming month(s)

Thanks. That's what I thought to that you won't submit your Passport hard copy unless they approve and want to grant visa at which point they'll request the passport. The reason I am asking is that my wife is not in India right now and don't want to just go back to apply for visa. She can go if visa is granted to get the stamp to come to Canada.

Can anyone please share some experiences such as whether or not passport is required while applying for Tourist Visa? Thanks.

But i guess if u r gonna apply online than u have to submit passport copy. And when they want to grant visa they will request for passport.

Congrats. Would you mind sharing some info as what types of documents you attached to avoid refusal? I would like some tips as I am also thinking of applying Tourist Visa for my wife. Thanks.

highly appreciate your reply....for what reason did ndvo call your wife??..n if u dont mind plz share d number from which u got d call.

The gentleman asked my wife basic questions like about her full name & date of birth. Then he asked her how long has she been living in Nepal and how long did she live in India because I had received a request for PCC from India but I sent an email saying that she didn't live in India for more than 6 months. As far as no is concerned, it was the same no displayed on Delhi immigration website.

I got married in April and sponsored my wife... but our marriage certificate has my Indian address and not the Canadian one

Will it create any problem?

It should not in my opinion as my certificate too has an Indian address and not Canadian one.
