Today bugged my MP's office via email and told them that even their given timeline (1-4 weeks) has exceeded and we are in 6th week with no reply. Every time have been pushed back on some pretext or the other and this is what they replied:
Our records indicate your file is in queue in our office for review and is still under our standard processing time. As previously advised our office receives several inquiry's daily and we process files on a first come first serve basis, with verified emergency files taking precedence. Once your file has reached review and CIC has provided a case review I will be in touch with you directly. Typically we do not initiate any file review for applications that are still under standard processing times posted by CIC, however I have allowed review to be initiated to give you and your wife some assurances. Please note applications originating from New Delhi are processing at 16 Months and your application is currently within processing time. If you have not received any indication that there is any issue with your file processing it is most likely processing well with no issues
So not much of a success there either.
