This isn't right. Have you tried contacting them? They're supposed to respond if it passes the usual timeline. Also, did u apply for notes?

Today bugged my MP's office via email and told them that even their given timeline (1-4 weeks) has exceeded and we are in 6th week with no reply. Every time have been pushed back on some pretext or the other and this is what they replied:

Our records indicate your file is in queue in our office for review and is still under our standard processing time. As previously advised our office receives several inquiry’s daily and we process files on a first come first serve basis, with verified emergency files taking precedence. Once your file has reached review and CIC has provided a case review I will be in touch with you directly. Typically we do not initiate any file review for applications that are still under standard processing times posted by CIC, however I have allowed review to be initiated to give you and your wife some assurances. Please note applications originating from New Delhi are processing at 16 Months and your application is currently within processing time. If you have not received any indication that there is any issue with your file processing it is most likely processing well with no issues

So not much of a success there either.

Hello Dear,

I was just following your post and your story seems similar to mine, my husband was in Canada for 2 years (I year study + 1 year post grad work permit) and then we got engaged and he left for India in July 2014 and we got married Dec 2015 and I filed for his PR in March 2015.

Could you please share what the ongoing issues have been with your application so I can perhaps prepare myself for the long wait as well.. Also we did submit his PCC for India but for Canada we submitted his PCC which he had done in FEB 2015.. so from the posts I believe I should have him do another PCC for Canada ASAP and have it sent to NDVO right?

Could you advise what the procedure is to get the Canadian PCC outside of Canada? And since he already did his PCC here - does he just need to get them to reissue (because i believe its a lengthy process getting finger-prints digitalized or something right??)

Sorry about the long post and much thanks in advance to all!!

AH

Similar reply to what I have got from my MP.....wonder did they even did an inquiry? These morons are sitting in the house for nothing....can't even help Canadian citizens who actually vote them....argghhhhh

we are september applicants.........no updates yet ...... Still AR MR.........

Guys please tell me one thing as I am July applicant..it's been 11 months, my problem is my husband dnt believe in this form and he says that I dnt want to bother immigration ppl by doing M.P enquiry or by applying notes..he said M.P asked him to wait for 16 months .. My situation is getting worse without knowing anything about the process of my file.. Status is still application received..

You have the below options:

1. If the baby is born in india, a. if u apply for the baby after the birth, u will have issues of again waiting for almost an year for the baby's papers
b. If u add him to the family and to ur PR file, before the baby birth (u inform NDVO), ur file will be delayed
2. best option is the baby is born in Canada, will save u from all the headache and wait

Just make sure, regarding the air travel to canada, keeping ur wife's pregnancy month into account..

All d best
