My question: When my husband applied for my visa, he was a PR in Canada having the Indian passport and today he is a Canadian citizen.
So, when we applied we only had his Indian passport details and today when I have to submit my passport I need to fill his passport details and was just unsure which detail to mention (Indian or Canadian).

Latest one as indian pp is null and void now. .hope he surrendered the Indian pp

In that case if you have to fill his details, then enter his Canadian PP# but also mention that he was an Indian citizen and mention that passport # as well. Also take a look at the form (if they have sent you any or if u have to fill any) and see if there is a line item that specifically asks for previous nationality of your husband. Hope this helps.

I would suggest following up with your MP. Usually MP reply doesn't take that long. They come back very next day....Surprised on why its taking long for you.

Not sure why it's taking such a looooong time from this MP. A couple of weeks go I followed up and her assistant gave me a long technical story which bounced above my head. Did not tell me clearly whether my request is sent or not. Of late, have been busy with work so had no time.Since it's now 4 weeks, will pop in one of these days and check with her assistant.

@buggleboy: Yes. I plan to fill the Canadian pp# and to attach a covering letter stating the other details.

Hopefully it works well.

It's very disheartening to see the way NDVO is processing.I am shocked to see September and November applicants getting visa(Please no hard offence)while previous applicants are still in queue.I don't think NDVO has stopped working,may be like someone said our spreadsheet is just about 1-2 percent of applicants applying from all over India....At this stage all of us are frustrated but we have no choice except to wait and wait.I am simply scarred that the processing time is going up day by day and we have no clue when we will get visa...
The shocking thing is 2013 backlog is still not cleared and is pending .....

Everyone please do share your updates so that we all can help each other in this forum and let's all remain positive and strong....

I start an online petition on change.org regarding slow processing at NVDO.
Minimum required signature is 100.
Once I get minimum signature I am planning to approach Immigration minister for a response.
Please sign and in comments add little bit of your story so that it sounds authentic.
If you feel any changes to be made to petition please let me know.
