CIC call center is not answerable to us at this point. File is in Delhi and it is their responsibility to speed up the process.

I was thinking of writing to PMO India regarding this stupid s @ #t process and their long wait times. May be something will happen. Have heard lot of praises for PM Modi, hoping something will change. Don't know what else to do or which door to knock to get some update

This process slowly pushing me toward depression....I am getting very scared

Hello everyone,

Couple of questions if you could please advise

- From the spreadsheet I see the processing time varying in number of months and online processing time is 16 months. Can you clarify how long it takes (is it 10-12 months usually or 16 as the site) from submission of application (including for sponsor) to the time Passport is requested

- I know visitor visa is very hard to get, I would appreciate pointers if possible to increase the chances of getting this for my wife. She is already working full-time in Noida so I am guessing that would count her favour

- I see remedicals being done for some applicants, how long does it take for the original ones to expire ?

It would be around 10-12 months, but it can be more than that depending upon your application and the officer who is going through your application.

Medicals are good for 1 year.

But confused my indian Agent telling to do PCC (police clearance certificate) as it is expired...
Canadian Agent is saying it is not essential..
And in the mail PCC is not mentioned..
Please give me expert opinion..

What good does it do by writing to PMO India office as India does not have any say or jurisdiction over NDVO nor can they comment on any matters of how NDVO works. I would be interested in your thoughts.

It will not work at all. There was a good suggestion by one forum member to go for a silent protest outside NDVO and present a petition to the High Commissioner for Canada to highlight our plight. It can also be addressed to PM or Immigration Minister and High Commissioner can accept it on their behalf and transmit it to their offices.
