Rex Another month gone without updates
If ndvo working on express entry visas it dsnt means dat they stop working on spouse files bcz every categary hv different departments so dont loose hopes , hope so march month is lucky for all of us

I agree with u guys to not loose hope... but the pace is disgusting. July 8th file of Anuaru got IP on 30th Jan... and we being just a week or two, its been a month and nothing moved.. Its the same status AR..

I guess there are different departments working on different categories, so express entry should not affect spouse cases. But someone in the New Delhi 2013 thread mentioned that his MP told him that Chandigarh office is shut down and all the files have been transferred to New Delhi, and thus the delay. I don't know how much truth is there in this!! :'(

I also read some where that Ottawa office (it handles US spouse applications) has also slowed down these days, which is similar to last year, and later on it picked up mid-March. We should not compare New Delhi with the Ottawa office, but the trend is quite similar.
Yeah...Its obvious that wen they open up new visa categories, they wil have dedicated people.. Now chandigarh office closure has nothing to do with new delhi office. For spousal its only New delhi office..

With no transparency from NDVO, it is impossible to know what is going on with our file. I am not scared of Intreview but the time they are taking to just schedule the f****ing interview is insane. They want to check genuineness of relationship in interview, why not just do it and let other person be free of mind.

arghhh.....feeling so lost, crying out loud . This is becoming unbearable now. Wish I could just go and live with my husband but the reponsibilities that I have in Canada is not letting me go. What should I do.

Immigration is making our life so miserable :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(
I agree with you Fiza11.... Only thing is that u can take patience and start preparing for ur interview and show them where you stand... NDVO has slowed down their work.. Dont let it effect your life..

Hi All,
Hope everyone is doing great!!

My name is Nick
I am looking to sponsor my would-be wife & i had few questions, that I wanted clarifications on.
There are many experienced members on this forum & I would really appreciate if you all can help me with some advise.
I am really confused with the process.

Before, I ask my questions,
I would like to give a little insight into my situation.
I am a PR from India, since April 2012.
In December 2014 I got into a long-distance relationship with my would-be wife.
It was an arranged relationship through my parents.
Though, I did know her, & have met her a few times casually alongwith my cousins.
We haven't met each other yet in person since our relationship is fixed.
Our marriage is now scheduled for May 2015.
I have booked the tickets & all & all other wedding arrangements are made.

Following are the questions, I needed your help on.
1) Because, we haven't met each other yet & will be meeting only in May & that is when we are getting married, will it have any impact on the spousal visa application, i will put. I do have pics of her family members & mine going to each others place & we will click some pics at the airport as well. when I land in India, but I don't have any from the past.
2) Where do we send our application in India, If its outland process from India, where is the application sent & should it be my wife, who would send both our documents. together or should I be sending mine as SPONSOR & she hers as APPLICANT separately? What are documents that she need to send?
3) When we send our Watsapp Chat history & gmail email exchanges, what should be the format. Should it show the chats/message & the e-mail content or just the day & time is enough & how can I get the Skype call records. Because I checked & could find an option to save the call records. Also, is it better to show the tel no# on watsapp messages, by not saving the contact. that way, the officer can see which no# the message was from instead of persons name, because anyone can save a contact with a different name.
3) Is there a certain amount of money, I need to show in my a/c while submitting the application for my would-be wife as a SPONSOR & how long is the statement good for. Coz, I will be gone to India in May & should it be a physical statement from the bank or would an online printout from the online log in enough as proof?
4) What are the documents, I should show as a sponsor. Do I need to submit everything from an employment letter, pay stubs, NOA, T4 Slip & NOA along with option C printout?
5) When should my spouse do her medical check up & when should it be sent. Does it go alongwith the original application, or should we wait for the immigration officer to ask for it. How long is the medical report good for & is it the clinic/lab who send it to the visa office(because we may not have any reference no# yet) or should we ourselves send it.?
6) When do we need to send the Police Clearance certificate, because, I believe its good only for 2 months. again do we send it alongwith original application. Do we need to send my spouses passport as well with the application.
7) Finally, what is the exact fees for the application i.e. sponsor + spousal via. Should it all be paid upfront & what the best way to pay it? via DD or Credit Card or any other mode?

I humbly request any of the esteemed members to kindly guide me with these questions.
Your help is highly appreciated.

Best of Luck, to you all :)

Thanks & regards,
Nick

Hello,

1) Visa officers in New Delhi do have an idea on how marriages in India take place, arranged marriages are quick and they dont have much of past history. So you should not worry about it, but you both should write a good cover letter with your application explaining the events leading to your marriage, how you both met and how the relationship grew.

2) There are two sets of forms, one for the sponsorship and the other is for sponsored spouse (Principal applicant) along with a checklist which asks for additional supporting documents and other proofs of your relationship. These all need to be complied and to be sent together by you (sponsor) to CPC-Mississauga, where they will check your sponsorship eligibility and send your application to New Delhi. You are suppose to be in Canada when you sponsor your spouse.

3) There is no specific format for that, just take out the print and attach it with your application. For skype you need to take screenshots and put them in MS word and take out the print. There is a very limited amount of history available in skype so I would suggest you to take your screenshots regularly. About the telephone number in whatsapp, it is your personal decision, I guess it doesnt make much difference. May be other's can give their input in this.

4) There is no minimum requirement for sponsorship of spouse, but you need to show how you would support your spouse once she is in Canada. If you have a job, just attach your employment letter, pay stubs, etc. You may also get your bank account statement just before you submit your application. option C is also an important document required by CPC-M to see if you were on social assistance.

5) Medicals are to be done in advance for spousal cases, its mandatory. Make sure your spouse does it as close to the date which you plan to send your application to CPC-Mississauga. It is valid for one year, so if you do it early it would get expired during your application processing and would have to be redone and thus waste alot of time. Medicals are to be done at an authorized hospital mentioned on CIC website, after the medical they would give you a letter which you have to attach in original to your application. From the details in the letter CIC would directly ask the medical report from the hospital.

6) PCC should be send along with your application, it is valid for one year. Once you get your PCC, it should be submitted within 2 months. You are not suppose to send passport of your spouse along with the application. Once your spouse's PR is approved they would ask for the passport for visa.

7) Fees are like this: Sponsorship application ($75) + Principal applicant ($475) + Right of permanent residence fee ($490) = Total $1040. Better to pay all in advance, RPRF can be paid later, but it would delay your process. Pay through your credit card.

Hope this helps.
All the best. :)
