Expiring on March 12. ..but they send it in advance. ..don't know what they are doing. Given us only 7 days to submit

That's same date when my husband's medical expires......we haven't received anything. Shall we do the remedical without request?

see timelines..i updated my profile

My suggestion to future applicants, do medicals when your sponsorship approval is done. hence can save 1 or 2 months after the file is received at New Delhi

This is getting too much......when will be our turn. what is taking so long on our files??For god sake NDVO clear the backlog

I don't know how much time after re medical will take...all panel physician are booked. no body giving appointment

Hi guys,
We are thinking of applying for a tourist visa for my wife. I see people from may/june/july not getting any updates and it breaks my heart. I think I should apply for the tourist visa just in case. My wife is still working so it would be easy for her to show ties to India.

Does anyone have any advise for or against it? Please let me know.

You only have 7 days, try out of town or anywhere else, but get it done. Otherwise they might reject the file. Sorry to scare you, but you need to hurry up asap and get an appointment somewhere.

Sorry fiza11, you cannot do remedical without request. You will get a letter saying medicals expired and telling you to do remedical. That is the only way to do remedical. Don't worry, sometimes they extend your medicals without doing remedical, so the request never comes. May be your case is like this. Be positive :)

They tend to refuse tourist visa generally for PR applicants. Its another way for NDVO to torture us :'( They take application and fees, and reject it. Happened twice with us, even with heavy documentation and high-profile (expensive) lawyers. My wife is working as well in a job with responsibility, has properties and family in India etc. but still rejected twice. Net affect is my wife now thinks Canada rejected her visit visa twice and is also delaying PR so much, overall builds negative feeling towards Canada sadly.

But, there were people who succeeded easily and have their spouses in Canada. So I would say 80-20 chance of rejection. Test your luck! But don't be disappointed if you it doesn't come.

I second what ydj_dil said, looks like there is a high rejection rate for visit visa after you have applied for PR but ts not impossible but its hard.

You could still apply no hard.
