Hey Payal, Forgot to tell you yesterday...wait till end of this month and if the status still says AR you can email them asking about the current status of your file....As an applicant you can contact them yourself no issues with that. By them i mean NDVO

I think it doesn't matter if u are a PR or a citizen to get your file processed faster? I think it's the time they take in NDVO to get the criminal background check cleared and every file is in a queue. As soon as they figure out that the marriage is genuine and criminal checklist comes out clear everything will go great. Just that the background check takes all the time. Lets hope and pray that this crucial wait for everyone ends soon.

Timeframe for responses to parliamentarians
The standard for reply to MP enquiries is one week (or five working days). Where a substantive
reply within one week is not possible, the MP's office should be advised within one week of receipt
of the enquiry that a reply will be provided shortly and by a specific date. Such delays should be
exceptional and short. Ideally, MPs should receive a response within two (2) working days.
Program managers are responsible for either preparing replies to MPs personally, or closely and
regularly monitoring replies sent by their office for both quality and timeliness. Note that visa
offices must reply to all MP requests.

you can ask to another MP in the neighborhood and convince them to enquire, they will help for sure

So what I understand passport they didn't ship it back yet.

So what I understand passport they didn't ship it back yet.

that means, visa stamping is in process, once it will dispatch from visa office, one more status will appear that it is dispatched to Visa Application Center and after that ready for collection....
mine is sent to VAC so may be till friday my wife will receive it.

You are a Canadian and they took 10 months to process your file? how long are you married for? Did you also do a MP check? Which city in Canada did u applied from? Sorry I am asking all this questions. You can understand that this wait is crazy without knowing what's going on with the files.

How did you apply for your wife in Canada, I guess its only the possibility if you are staying together in Canada, doesn't matter you are citizen or pR. I am lost here...

Thanks, I am hoping the same, mY hubby will receive his passport notification friday and he will pick up on Monday.
