Please update us on the excel

Got SA on Jan 19th. I check on the applicants status it says application received on Oct 28th (when we had applied) and medical received.

Does any one know the rough next path which wait for

Hi guys! A couple of tips for all from my experience.

1. After you are done with the immigration at Canada, they'll give you a signed copy of the landing papers, make sure that you keep that copy somewhere safe cuz you gonna need that when you apply for your citizenship a few years later. Also, it acts as your temporary PR card till you get one in the mail.

2. Try to get your SIN (social insurance number) at the airport itself as it will save you a LOT OF HASSLE. You need SIN for pretty much everything here (bank a/c, phone, cable, rent/lease an apartment etc.)

3. If you have a valid US driver license, you can get it converted to a Canadian license without any written or road tests. Pretty cool eh... ;D

4. Apply for your health insurance card as soon as you can. In ON you are eligible for benefits after 3 months of stay

And ABOVE ALL:-

From my many-many years of experience of living abroad, DON'T F*CK with CREDIT and DON'T DROWN IN DEBT!!
It's very easy to swipe credit cards, but never go above above you means! In Northern America, if you have bad credit, you are nobody!

My medical is expiring in a month's time and I used a representative immigration lawyer who provided his contact details.

I am afraid now that who would NDVO call? I noticed from previous blogs that they don't speak to anyone else than the applicant.

Does this mean that my application gone for toss for another 3-4 months.....

Yaar its very easy to say divert mind...but in the end when work finishes, and I go home it becomes all the more difficult

I have even stopped meeting my friends....its getting very depressing to hear them ask same thing again and again
