Wish I knew how long, coz my file is stuck in IP since Sept 10th(Background Check's completed as per GCMS Notes) and I am still waiting.
I recently made an MP inquiry and I was advised that I am in the final stages (ya like tell me something new dude) and its just a matter of time.
However, he added to say that there is a change of guard at NDVO (VISA officers being shuffled) and this transition may have caused some delay. Has anyone done an MP inquiry in the last couple of days, can someone confirm this?

My case has been stuck on background check as well! and for the past 8 months I have been doing MP enquiry every two months and all they say is your application is in final stage review waiting for background check results! this the same reply i have been getting for 8 months now!! like HOW LONG IS THIS GONNA TAKE!!!! May god shower DM on 2013 applicants during this month!! so we can all be with our hubbies for the new year!!

Hi everyone
So I checked the processing time for spousal visa in New Delhi office and it said 15 months but looking at the timeline of most people, it seems wau faster than that. I am sorry if I seem stupid to be asking this but I just want to know what's going on with the discrepancy between the website and the actual timelines. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Oh thats crazy.. Sorry to know about your case!
My notes clearly read, All background checks: Passed i.e,.Criminality,Security, Eligibility and Re-Medicals.
And the visa officers footnotes read: Next Step RFV after remeds.
Did you get remeds done yet? Was there travel history or any other concerns in your case?

The timeline on the website is an average of 80% cases from a certain date to a certain date. So it is accurate :)

This is the note on that page for processing times in all offices:

The tables below indicate application processing times at Canadian visa offices once Step 1 has been completed. The times are based on how long it took to process 80 percent of all cases between April 1, 2013 and March 31, 2014. Processing times are subject to change.

Hello Sunsweet,
first of all best of luck and happy married life for you, secondly, I had interview in 25th Nov, the Visa Officer did not say (yes) and even he did not say (NO), he said there are some concern in your application like: ( You are from Afghanistan but your marriage is in New Delhi, from your side only your older brother attend to your marriage day, and from your wife's family only her mother attended in your marriage day, and you did not have a big marriage party..) based on these reasons I can't say yes, but even I don't say know, we will let you know shortly! From that onward I'm really worrying that what will happen? however I told him very logic reasons, I said I'm student in India so we got married here, we had economical problems, so from each family only one member attededed, I did not have big marriage party because It cost me and I could not pay it since I'm student and I'm not working...etc!
but still I'm worrying, would you please tell me your Idea if I will get the Visa or not?
Even I request the other members of this forum to share their Ideas with me plz!
Stay Positive Be cool. Their duty is to ascertain the truth or missing links in the file to get satisfied before issuance of the Visa. You will get your visa shortly. Have faith in God

I think ur MP is right bcoz we see last couple of weeks of this forum then no one got IP or DM. ..I think this delay bcoz they shuffled VO's...but I m damn sure like old times if they started giving DM's then all 2013 cases solved at dat moment. ..
hv some more patience buddy

Well my notes says everything has passed! i.e criminality, eligibility, re medica, but for security it says not started!! and its already been like 18 months since i applied first! so i don't know how much longer i have to wait!
The notes didn't mention NOTHING else just security not started! and I did live in another country for 17 years and then i got a job transfer to India so came and been living here for 6 years. Do You thinks it's the travel history that's taking time??? please let me know anything you may think. thanks
