hi dear for how long you stuck into the background check I am also in the same boat do u have any travel history? In July I got the letter which says they are doing background check since that no news I have travel history Cyprus and AustriaKat*waitingpatiently said:

If your passport is in your hands get it renewed under tatkal. It is a blessing in disguise. Generally for giving a Visa they expect six month minimum validity of the passport. They will check only at the time of affixing visa and in all probability they will send the passport to you for renewal.AS2905 said:

sunsweet - It does show that you did get DM after 2 months after re-medical. (so they took two months to get visa issued, did you have any travel history?)
