Hello frnz.. I am flying on 15th November with British airways from delhi to london and then from london to Montreal. From Montreal my airlines is changing to Air Canada for Toronto. I suppose my immigration will be done in Montreal itself and I will have to check in my luggage again with Air Canada. Could you all please help me with your advice as to what kind of questions do they ask in immigration and also I just have 2 and a half hours for immigration and checking in my luggage again. Is it enough?? Coz I heard fem someone that Montreal officers are really rude and take alot of time one tends to miss their connecting flight. Im so tensed.. pls help..

Wonder why would you choose Montreal as your port of entry if you are heading to Toronto. You should take serious considerations on the journey time and lay over's and even risking your connection from Montreal to YYZ? 2hours of layover for the immigration formalities definitely looks too tight. My 2 cents, choose YYZ as your port of entry if your final destination is Toronto .

Why not? if she can prove her connections back home (assets or family ties) and her intention to return, she will not have an issue.
You guys can send a letter of invitation and undertaking.

Mm....guys, anyone asked for a PCC again from a country you have lived in for a few years other than India? I'm getting my 're-PCC', done but I'm wondering if there was any specific reason as to why they wanted a new one. I didn't know they expire. Also anyone been asked for the same? My status has been in process since Aug.

Is there any fortune teller that can tell me when the f**k I will be getting any news from NDVO, because no MP not email enquiry worked. Sick n tired of their waiting games..

My husbands PCC was asked again after 3 months of submission of PCC from country where he lived more than 6 months. May be your case is different yours is expired. But they usually ask just ones. Then i sent them a proof of mail tracking and copy of PCC and then they didnt ask again.

For rksandhu

no they didnt ask anything else.
they checked the address and asked her to verify the passport details, thats it.

neha_anticevic, if your final destination is toronto, DO NOT make the mistake of first flying to montreal and then a connecting flight to toronto.
there is no way you can estimate the wait times at the immigration counter, and keep in mind montreal is a predominant french speaking city. There have been instances of officers being rude, but i wouldnt say its racial profiling. Toronto Pearson has a much larger immigration department, and more counters means less wait times in line. However, if you do miss your connecting flight from montreal, theres a fair chance British Airways will put you on the next available flight to Toronto.
If you HAVE Toronto as an option, change your flight itenary. if not, you can still manage.

rksandhu, which city are you coming to? and when?

As your final destination is Toronto, your immigration will be done at Toronto not at Montreal. Only immigration done at Montreal is one who has csq. But waiting time can not be guaranteed. More over you will have to check in your luggage again so it will further increase the wait time.

Port of entry is where the immigration is done. Port of entry is your first entry or touch down point in Canada.
