I am just going to be here and wait for my visa. I don't know how things might work if I go for remedical without them asking me. May be I will discuss with my husband and wait for this week and go for it next week.

hey jasminexyz my situation is also same as yrs. my husband had interview on 9th Sept and the visa officer told him to get his re medical done. but since then we haven't received any re medical request. so please tell me if you have any updates about it. thank you

Finally Finally after wait of
1 year 6 months of wedding,
1 year 7 days of application,
3 months of IP and
1.5 month of remed
here comes my OMG OMG OMG moment to announce finally its DM. So happy to see this status change this afternoon.
Hope to get back the passport with shiny visa very soon.

Thank god and thank you EVERYONE on this forum. You have helped me to stay strong always and never felt alone in this journey of waiting.
Hope all of you on this forum gets soon their much awaited VISA.

hi all...congrats to all who got ips, visa....I am still stuck with "application received".Also the medicals expired last week.Can someone please tell me when can i expect the remedical request? Its going to be an year since application filed on november 4th... ???

only medical problem they are concerned is TB and AIDS even that if you have any of those they will ask you to fix it....
As long as you are not contagious (which relates to public health) you will be fine.You should get medical treatment for it but you don't have to worry about immigration. As a spouse, they can not refuse you even if you have something that is costly. They can if you have something that is dangerous to the public...

Communicable diseases of public health significance include—
Tuberculosis
Syphilis
Chancroid
Gonorrhea
Granuloma Inguinale
Lymphogranuloma Venereum
Hansen's Disease (Leprosy)
Hep-B(some stages)
And the following two disease categories--
Quarantinable diseases designated by any Presidential Executive Order. Current diseases include: cholera, diphtheria, infectious tuberculosis, plague, smallpox, yellow fever, viral hemorrhagic fevers, severe acute respiratory syndromes, and influenza caused by novel or re-emergent influenza (pandemic flu).

I live in Toronto and I have friends sitting next to me who did this process.. if you still think i am wrong, I don't mind. Do it and you will know. if you are able to get G, I am happy for you.

Thats exactly what I said. G1 driving test is the one that you take for getting G2 and G2 driving test is the one you take for getting G. Most people misunderstand that G1 test is for getting G1. So when I said they went through G1, I meant the G1 road test which gets you the G2 license.

i got my passport with shiny visa yesterday 11:00am by indian speed post.


I hope, All are Getting visa soon. God helps to everyone.
I never feel before this painfull experience.
Daily waiting waiting waiting. Several times i check e-cas
Lot of tensioning after checking ecas. Beause nothing changes on e cas.

Finally This wait is end.

Hey just saw your msg. Yes I have an update. I was waiting for remed request and on 29th oct I saw my status changed to dm. It made me worry the whole time cos it's dm without Medicals..... But to my surprise on 30th I got an email from ndvo requesting for passport. They have extended my Medicals for another year from the date of interview. God is great!

Has NDVO forgotten about my file?? Its approaching 16 months soon.
And almost 2months since IP...as much as I feel happy for all those lucky ones on getting their DM's & VISAS, I am beginning to get frustrated more..
