make an appointment and sponser needs to sign some forms giving permission to dere MP to access your personal records..some MPs send forms by email and some want person to visit office..so go to dere office and will know dat whts the procedure...

Firstly, thank you much for taking your time to respond.

Yes, both our parents will be present for the court marriage. Both families do not want the girl to stay alone after the wedding. I may have to make a return to India for a year or so until the processing is done for her if I cannot process her PR now. I do have communication logs, photos not too many (as I have lived here for 3 years), no trips and definitely some handful of gifts proof available with me. I understand this is tricky, so any more advise or tips you could offer on this will really help.

it is good both parents (yours and hers) will be there for the court wedding...but NDVO will wonder why you could not have had a simple temple wedding with family present and why court wedding and that too engagement and wedding the same day....and if you plan to leave immediately after marriage then it will raise a red flag with interview recommended....so if you cannot have temple wedding then have a honeymoon and go on a trip and take lots of pictures..if you can stay for three or more weeks this will not raise any suspicion....go back and send in your application, and wait until sponsor's part is approved; come back to india and if you plan to have a regular wedding then, you can send pictures of wedding; second honeymoon etc as additional documents to NDVO..if not traditional wedding atleast you can provide documents to show that you moved back to India to be with her (if you are citizen then they will ask you proof of intention to go back to canada) ...currently it takes 16 months (including sponsor's part of approval) so you have plenty of time to send them updated documents and convince them more...

My intention is not to pretend that we are married and have had our honeymoon, I want to keep it transparent to NDVO that we have done engagement (with photos) and court wedding with parents' permission to submit for sponsorship and my traditional wedding date is so and so and I shall share the photographs during that time if need be. I am not sure if I am making sense. I am certainly not into faking proofs, we are not going on trips but I would stay for a couple of weeks in India after court marriage. I do feel that my case has some genunity that a Visa officer might consider. However, I have no clue if it is certain. Please advise your thoughts.

yes its a big concern...but W2E is right. ..collects all proofs...
there is a forum member neha_anticivic..dere also a simple wedding just few people like family members n just close friends. .but they didn't hv an interview. ..dere are just wait for DM. ..

so my suggestion is done a court marriege where all the family members present. ..go for lots of places...send them all the pics...and submit ur file. ..and give them reason like so n so time next year we will b married in a traditional way...

when you get married in a court, you are married in the eyes of law. I am in no way suggesting that you do fake trips. You are married by the court and then you take trips (I would suggest that even if you are not applying for PR). Visa officers will clearly know if your trip is a fake or not since they are most of the time good at detecting marriage of convenience applications. When you apply for PR, attach a letter explaining the circumstances for a court wedding and your future plans (come back and stay in india till PR is approved; plan to have traditional wedding etc). Come back and have wedding or honeymoon etc and send them additional documents...it is up to the visa officer to accept them and give visa without interview or call you for an interview....if he/she is broadminded to accept court wedding and other documents as proof of relationship, he/she will accept it otherwise it will be an interview where you have to prove that this relationship is real...your biggest plus points are both parents present at the court wedding; staying couple of weeks after the wedding; coming back and living till the PR process is over; if having a traditional wedding then another plus point...the unknown factor is visa officer's views on court weddings and on not having a simple marriage in the first place...
