Hello forum members,

Am new to this forum but from time to time i go through the valuable posts of the experienced members. I appreciate all the members for their cooperation and support towards each other.

I would like to share my timeline here:
medical done 20-10-2013
date of application received at mississauga 11-11-2013
date of sponsorship approval 07-01-2014
date of file transfer at NDVO 19-11-2013
date of passport request 14-01-2014
date of ADR 29-07-2014

As, this is our second marriage, they asked my sponsor's divorce petition. They received the same by 05-08-2014.
Now, what do you guys think will be next. How much more time i need to keep my patience.

Moreover, am not in that much hurry bcoz i got 1.5month old baby and whose documents has already been submitted with NDVO last month.

I have submitted my ADR (Divorce petition) on May 1st and still my application status has not changed from "Application received" Not sure what NVDo is doing with all pending OCT applications with ADR requests ... :( :( :(

It looks like they skip most of November files.

hi...
nothing to worry upon. you status will change soon. keep hope.

yes...i sent Passport (with little guts/little fear), however it turned positive.

While sending passport, make sure you have a cover letter + default letter u get after approval + pcc (potocopy) + medicals (potocopy)
explain them that they have sent the originals earlier and sending passport along with this.

i did check today only the status..so not sure when they changed it.

thanks ....

have a happy evening..happy morning...

Hello everybody.. I just got my notes but i don't understand about the recommened interview. It just states whatever I wrote in the application. And also states that my husband has a sister born in India in 1991 so what? He is 3 years elder to her... I don't get what's wrong with this... And then there is a big paragraph of our situation how we got married... I don't understand what they mean by this...then no previous marriage or relationship... Its so irritating... :(

notes sometimes won't make sense..there was one forum member member currently landed in canada and her notes said ' age difference' and she was younger to her husband by three years...at the time of interview age difference was not asked but mostly about how her relationship evolved (how her husband commutes to work; how much he gets paid; his daily routine; any gifts exchanged after the marriage; etc) and her relationship now with her husband and her in laws...so don't rely too much on notes trying to figure what the concern is...it is most likely they want to see sponsored person in person and want to know about how relationship started and how it is going...

Does anyone think that NDVO is just trying to show their efficiency by just giving IP to december applicants. So that they can show the government that they have almost finished 2013, however they still havent given any DMs yet for past one month except for medical expiry cases.
I was the first one from December to get IP one month ago and still waiting for DM and so as other members of the forum who got IP around the same date.

applications are not processed 'first come, first served' basis...of late it has been if medical results are expiring soon then process it soon (provided other steps like background checks are completed) but if expired a while ago then put it aside. Other sure thing is if it is 'in process', interview may not happen and if a person has lived in or visited other countries for more than 6 months then background process takes longer...

FYI:
I have added a sheet in "Updated New Delhi Applicants - 2013" with the name "Status" (https://docs.google.com/a/webcube.ca/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0ArjKIJSYT22GdDVSZ0JReGtVa25fMERwcXNkaklnLUE#gid=38)

This sheet counts the number of Applicants, Sponsorship Approvals, PPRs, ADRs, IPs, Interviews, DMs, and VISA issued to applicants for each month.
Hope some of us, and 2014 applicants might find it helpful to track where NDVO stands.

Please add me on this list with my time line....thanks

Whats Avg Time taken by CIC for spousal application to be done ?

Mayank

Depends on case to case .... Normally 10 months to 13 months .... But may take more if any red flags or complexity in the case.....

Hello BBU1992,
Your information is added.

Hey everyone, quick question; our case is presently "in process", which probably means my husband's background check is being done atm. He recently changed jobs before pirbcase went into IP and we didn't bother telling CIC as we thought it may delay the process further....does anyone know if this will have an affect on our case? ???

only time you have to inform visa office is when there is marital status changes (separated; withdraw someone from sponsorship; divorce proceedings) and for sponsored person's address change (to send passport to new address) other than that visa office does not care about loosing jobs; changing jobs; sponsor's change of jobs; change of address after sponsorship approved for sponsor...

Thank you so much... We haven't got the interview date yet... I am expecting it in november or dec.. And is being present with the spouse for interview is a strong point? Or is it fine not to go for the interview with my husband. Thank u.. :)

it depends on the visa officer; sometimes they notice sponsor not being present and ask why he/she is not there (tell them we all have jobs and lives and can't put our lives on hold till you make decisions..just joking) and sometimes it does not make difference as sometimes they interview sponsor and sponsored person separately and sometimes even when sponsor is present visa officer does not interview him/her..but it helps the sponsored person to have spouse going together since it boosts confidence (unless spouse makes sponsored person more nervous with nagging and criticisms) and if things go wrong it helps to have spouse in person to comfort...

That's quite a possibility . Only a 24th Nov'13 applicant have received DM as of now . 3-4 dec applicants have rcvd IP in the last 3-4 days , i wonder if anything is actually happening at NDVO . Hate this waiting game

omg (small omg because big OMG is reserved for DM :P :P),

My wife and i got IP today.

Our dates are:

App filed: Dec 19 2013
AOR: Jan 10 2014
SA: Jan 23 2014
PPR: Feb 24 2014
IP: Aug 5 2014
DM: Aug ?? 2014
Visa: Aug ?? 2014

Oct and November people- Pl do not lose hope. Here is what I think is happening:

Oct and November files are already assigned to some VOs who are busy cracking away at the Oct and Nov files. In the meanwhile, i think NDVO has either gotten extra VOs to support them or NDVO has transferred Dec files to some other embassy just to reduce backlog and that is why you see this non-sequential kind of processing. aLL OF THIS MEANS only good news to Oct and Nov people. JUST HANG IN THERE! Your turn is coming soon enough.

Congratulations and good luck for a speedy visa!! please keep us updated..

And this is the best possible explanation for the non sequential update. Good work buddy
