I have done my BE in Electronics and Telecom engineering and M-Tech in Electronics Engineering.
I am working in Software firm from last 8 years as a developer/analyst.

I want to apply for canada PR. What is the process for it. How to do the education assessment.
Am I eligible for it? Please provide your input.

Can I do it on my own or should I go for the agent. If agent can any body suggest a good agent in India ?

I have my valid IELTS score of more than 7 in each area.

Guys, I need help I am having some weird vibes as to why my wife's application is stuck. There are 2 options to acquire a PCC...

1. From a superintendent at your local police station

Or

2. From the Indian Embassy in Delhi

My wife went with option 1... I think the faster option would have been Option 2 as I am sure NDVO receives hundreds of PCC's from the embassy and that may hold more authority and authenticity over a PCC from a police station. Plus, I am not sure how they will even verify whether this is a valid document as they may call the police station or send some sort of verification letter to be responded to and things may get lost in transition when either side doesn't actively care about getting this security clearance chapter closed for the sponsorship file. This is one of my biggest fears for the holdup....

Now with this being said, should I submit a PCC from the Indian embassy in hopes to speed it up or will this harm my file even further...

What do u guys think?

If your wife is an applicant from punjab a PCC will be valid only from SSP's office not any local police station or a PCC from regional passport office is also valid provided the passport is issued within the last one year . I definitely will not harm your file but in my opinion , i think you should just wait . You will hear from NDVO soon. good luck !

On thing which I wanna know is that the cases which are straight forward..does the ndvo issues them visa before medical expiry?

Can any one tell me, how much time do they give for passport submission in the PPR call?
I am feb'2014 applicant, holding on to my abroad trip just because of uncertainty of PPR.
Any suggestions that wud it be a sane decision to travel? when can PPR be expected?

Are you working as a software engineer?? If yes it would be a contradiction of education and experience because they need experience in field of education.

If no then you are eligible, you have the right points, you can google "canada pr points calculator" and check yourself

You can do it on your own if you are smart enough to find all forms, searching all details, you have to google few questions and find the right blogs, I guess software engineers are good at this. And infact agents usually mess up your file, all they do is just fill your forms asking you all the details and courier it.
I believe every educated person should do this himself.

you are ryt chatwant... even i do feel that i shud travel ..... but few cases (like 2 Dec applicants that i heard got VISA recently) hold me back .... dnt want to turn out to be fool-faced by asking a month vacation after 15-20 days of my abroad stay...followed by a resignation to travel Canada ....lol

according to cic.gc.ca they update processing times quarterly and last update was on march 10 ... arent they suppose to update ? its been more thn 3 months since last update ..

Last two times they have taken 4-4.5 months for this 'quarterly' update. Do your math

When r they going to start Nov applications?? Now the NDVO is going dead slow. I think they should touch nov applications by aug last week
