Question for you guys:

My wife got DM status this weekend and will hopefully receive her passport soon. Would it be any problem if she stops in Dubai for 2-3 days to meet a close relative on her way to Canada? Would it raise any sort of issue when she makes her immigration final in Canada? Do they ask any questions? Do they require her to come to Canada directly, without visiting any other country in the middle, from India?

It would be great if someone could answer this question. Thanks.

Thanks.....Im not making any decision for notes....just waiting till Aug beginning, so as to know the trend for Nov applicants.....What is ur idea for notes?
Congrats Vikas...did ur wife get ppr? pls keep posting as nov-dec processing might differ coz of ppr at later stage...

It won't be a problem at all, she can travel anywhere, and usually they dont ask any questions related to previous travel. but if they do just be honest...

NDVO has not sent any passport request to any Nov onwards applicants, the people who sent their passports are the one's who got confused the the general AOR email that NDVO sends

Congrats dear and dont worry about yours, you will get it soon, as per past 6 months trend, NDVO takes 1-4 weeks after you get your re-med done

It is confusing me, I'm nov 6 2013 applicant, they requested my passport in feb 1st 2014, I'm not Indian, I'm from Afghanistan but student here, they kept the passport for more than 6 months, then today I got back my passport without Visa or any other litter to explain why they have sent back my passport!!! and even no email or updates in my profile!!
Good to be mentioned that we have submitted all the necessary docs, proves, and Medical Result along with the application in nov/6/2013 then they send passport request in which was written that we request the passport for the cases which are ready for visa issuing !!!
Is there any body to tell me what does this mean???

Just want to ask on behalf of my friend that ..
If interview is schedule before one week of medical expire
Wat r d chances of getting visa..

Do NDVO extend the medical and ask to fly on specific date or they recommend for re medical ...

To be honest with you if your medicals are expiring after 1 week of interview date, chances are rare that they will extend the visa, because first thing is interview, and i wish you pass it with flying colors. its totally upto the visa officer, they might ask you if you can travel by a particular date and then will extend the medical expiry or will handover you the passport or will will wait till the medical expires and will mail you passports and will ask for remeds
