Get an international driving license.You will get it for 8 k or so.You are good for six months than..

You guys can drive in Canada for 3 months on your indian License....If your license is 2 years or more old...You can directly get class 5 (full fledged car license...terminology is different for different provinces ) after passing knowledge test and road test....better you bring your Insurance history...for every one year of clean insurance history you get 5 per cent off of your Canadian insurance...maximum discount is 40 to 43 percent..

unfortunately no, you need to have atleast some credit history there, get a stable job, get a credit card, its easy to get a newcomer credit card from scotia,
start spending a lot and pay on time, within 4-6 months you will have a credit history and with 20% down you will be able to buy a house
and if your job is gud, you can avail that first time home buyer option with 5% down, but if you can afford 20% its best bcoz you save a lot with it.

My Suggestion to Newcomers....do not bank with TD or Bank of Montreal they are very conservative...go with Scotia or RBC..


Even after 3 years my Credit limit with TD visa was 1500 only..they were not helpful...one day I tried my luck with RBC...Got 12000 limit..30000 line of credit and 15000 RRSP loan in half an hour...I suggest you guys never apply online...whenever you wanna apply go in Bank with appointment....it really helps.....Credit unions are also very conservative in giving credit.

Do not open too many departmental credit cards...they suck

Avoid desi instructors in Surrey/Vancouver area...go with gorras...no doubt they charge more...but will give u right approach and best tips...desis'approach is too fleece money...my experience....better for a month you sit in front of a full fledged driver and see what he/she is doing....

no my hubby's has very experience driving. ..he's Indian and gora itself lol..no one give me more experience but him..so lets c when I will reached there what will b the options...

Dear All,

My medicals are expiring in two days and I have not heard anything yet. I am a November 2013 applicant. However, my wife came for visit three weeks ago and planning on to stay with till I get the visa so that we can go back together.

However, will her stay with me would affect my application process? Also, how long can she stay outside of Canada with her PR? When should I expect my visa to arrive?

OH NO, i have a huge concern. I was just browsing through my gcms and realized my husbands passport number is incorrect by one number. I check me application and realized I had written it down incorrectly what do I do. who do I contact. tomorrow is saturday, i wish i saw this earlier want to tell me mp so she calls new delhi ASAP

how will this effect my process which is nearly done inshallah, my mp said visa is ready. what do i dooooooooooooooooooo

Sponsor's stay will not affect the process. Now October is in progress in a fortnight November would be moving. Next month you will hear some good news. Wishing you all the best.

500 pictures!!!! no wonder they did not ask you to come for interview...imagine at the time of interview a file size of an elephant with pictures only and the poor visa officer looks one after another and his tired eyes popping out...it is not the fat wedding that matters...you can have 5000 people but if parents are not present this will raise curiosity in visa officer's mind and that would lead to an interview...it is all in the proper documentation...

Hehehe yes we thought its better to provide them wid lots of proofs rather than sendin less and then gettin an interview. N yes I agree wid u big wedding dsnt matter at all.. n yea the parents thing does raise questions that's why we provided the letter from the parents. N it worked out for us
