RKS , You need letter and licence both and this rule is applicable all over canada (any province you go). So make sure you get the letter on the letter head of the licencing agency of your area.

I am going to Vancouver. ..in my license its written that its valid from 2009 to 2027...the RTO office issued NOC certificate direct or I will give them some driving tests...?

Once you will go to the office you have to write a letter regarding the NOC. There are many small khokes :P :P outside from where you can get the printout of the performa of the application. You have give your driving license photo copy. thats it. No other requirement.
If you will show this letter to ICBC in BC then you can directly appear in class 5 road test rather appearing the class 7 road test. But before that you have to appear the written exam after that you can go for class 5 road test. Otherwise you have to wait at least one year to appear in class 5 road test.. Written exam is quite easier there. As you have said you have 5 years of driving experience in India ,this letter will definitely help you.

One thing more if you have vehicles's insurance on your name you can also get no claim letter from the insurance company. Bcz in BC vehicles insurance is the most expensive compare to other provinces. It comes under Government ..... :D :D
You are lucky you are going to Vancouver ( wheather wise ) lol

also this letter is valid for 6 months, so take it once you book your ticket(near to your time to leave India). IF NO LETTER THEN YOU CANT GIVE DIRECT G TEST, YOU HAVE TO GIVE G2, WAIT FOR 1 YEAR , THEN GIVE G.

Hello Forum Members-

My medicals are expiring this Friday.I am a November applicant. My wife came to Visit me this June and planning to stay with me till I get my visa. However, will there be any problem with the visa her staying here? Would this affect my Wife's PR?

Also, is there a hope that we will get visa any time soon so that we can go back together?

Please advise what is the best way we should do.

most probably, NOV applicants will start by end of his month, as your medicals are expiriong , you will get a mail for remedicals once they open your file. Also there is no issue at all if your wife stays here until your visa n you could be lucky enough to travel together if your turn comes on time if your case is straight forward. Good luck mate!!!!

In BC, there are class 7 Learner, class 7 Novice and Class 5, you are eligible for class 5 with 2 years + Indian experience.
you should start studying driving test online, there are lot of practice questions, so when you go to registry, you will do the knowledge test (40 questions) and submit your Indian license + RTO letter, they will issue you a learner license (paper copy) and then after few weeks they will call you when they get it verified. They you can book your road test, meanwhile you can practice driving with your husband or hire an instructor, they charge approx $200
